Hm. Just read through the storyline for “The Grudge” and I’m having a hard time fitting the two together. I do like the notion that Rapunzel might be the bad guy, but after pulling that with one of Disney’s best beloved characters (Pan), I have a hard time believing they’d do it with Rapunzel, even a non-“Tangled” Rapunzel. But you never know!
There is this line in the Wikipedia description of “The Grudge” — “The Grudge describes a curse that is born when someone dies in the grip of a powerful rage or extreme sorrow. The curse is an entity created where the person died.” Could Rapunzel have something to do with The Dark One?
It’s also presented in a very non-linear way, jumping back and forth in time. Interesting.
