It’s not uncommon; it was that way at SDCC too, you could only film the panel but not the special clips they showed (Good Morning SB, Ariel, ect) but this time around ABC released mere seconds after the panel was finished. I thought they’d do the same this time, but now I’m thinking they are holding it off until next month when this clip will be our first “sneak peak” for 301.
@angiebelle: if you should read this, did they ask that no one film the scene?
I’m really torn about the idea of fairness. On the one hand, I really want the panel and the sneak peak. Sooooo bad. But on the other hand, the people who *were* there should get something more because they’ve paid for it. They took their hard earned money and their time (some people fly in from everywhere!) for this (same for SDCC) and they get rewarded.
Also, it’s marketing strategy. ABC is beginning the whole “get people excited for the show again” phase which means live tweeting the panel (which they did) and they will release the clip someday (like I said above, probably in a month). I’m torn about it but I don’t have the money to be able to fly out and go to panel but for those that do, they should be a little something extra. I just wish I was one of them.
