So then why does it matter if Henry is descended from them if he doesn’t have access to any ‘dark’ magic because of blood inhearentence? Now if Rumple’s mother was some sort of witch that would fix that, especially if it was a kind of magic that didn’t show up in every generation.
According to Jane Espenson, the “dark” magic comes from Henry’s environment. It “rubs” off in a sense. So a bit of that rub off on Neal who then co produced Henry (that sounds like Henry is a Broadway musical…) and then some of it came from Regina.
However I do also like the idea of Rumple’s mother maybe being a dark witch.
