So rewatching season one. In 102, Gold remarks on Henry’s name, asking Regina how she picked it. He’s clearly just messing with her, since he can with his memories back, and of course names are his thing.
But in light of the fact that Henry Sr. was his rival for Cora’s affections, the whole thing takes on a different tone. Regina named his grandson after the man whom Cora chose over him. (He doesn’t know that it’s his grandson yet, but !!!)
Also, wow do he and Henry have a complicated relationship.
