I’ll be seriously surprised if they kill Charming. If they wanted to do it, they’d have done it quickly and suddenly for the shock factor. With this drawn out storyline of him dealing with hiding the poison, it wouldn’t be as dramatic if he actually dies, the drama will be in how they deal with him having kept it secret and save him.
