I think this is a really cute idea!
And HappyEndings, there are a few things here. 1) People *did* defend GG. A lot. I was among them. For the most part, every single person who saw that tweet KNEW she was joking. But this is a very different situation because it was in a live interview whereas GG’s was a tweet and because Emma’s shipping life is so complex and open. 2) Part of this has to do with the fact that Adam and Eddy closed the door on SQ this weekend whereas when GG tweeted what she did (jokingly) A and E hadn’t come out and said it wasn’t happening. 3) I get every single tweet of every member of the cast sent to my phone. I can assure you: GG tweets more than JMo and just about everyone. I almost always have something in my inbox from her when I wake up in the morning. JMo is a rare tweeter. Josh, GG, Adam, and EdR are the big ones. 4) The level of attack on GG wasn’t ANYWHERE near this level. The amount of hate being directed at Adam and JMo especially is CRAZY. Beyond just being upset over a ship. They are getting death threats. What the community is suggesting is that we try and show that there are more rational, calm, people who just enjoy the show than there upset random few. That’s the point of this. If this were GG, we’d be doing the same thing.
