What you don’t want Zombie Milah?  (previously thought deceased indeed!).  Now that would be a father/son bonding moment.

I think a lot of the family drama has not been given enough screen time.  Rumpel killed Bae’s mother, and they have yet to acknowledge this.   I do think Bae and Rumpel both are being written as the type to bottle up feelings a bit.  Bae’s lines “I didn’t exactly have a fairy-tale child hood” and “there’s not a ton I remember that doesn’t suck” barely paint the picture that he wasn’t just abandoned, but he was isolated as the Dark One’s son as people were afraid to associate with him.  Bae probably is not used to having people around to listen to his real feelings on things, just like Rumpel.

“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?” -- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass
