Having seen more of Robin Hood and Regina’s story unfold, I’m intrigued. Why is Regina so afraid to love again? Is it because she’s merely afraid of losing love again? Or is it deeper? I think she might be scared of rejection, even if the man with the lion tattoo is her soulmate.
As for Robin Hood, does Regina being his soulmate mean Marian was not? Or can people have more than one soulmate? Obviously, Robin Hood really loved Marian and Regina really loved Daniel. I’m thinking that the show is suggesting a positive message that a person who has loved and lost can find love again. That is a common thread that links Regina and Robin since both have been widowed young so to speak. Both are parents to sons already. Family life is something they both cherish and would value in a would-be partner. All good things which could help bind Regina and Robin.
Both Regina and Robin know what it means to be leaders. And yet, their leadership styles are vastly different. Can Robin help Regina regain her integrity and show her what it means to be a true leader of men? Or will RH be put off by Regina having cast the dark curse? Obviously, RH was left behind to witness the destruction to post-apocalyptic EF. There are lots of hurdles potentially to overcome.
