Now the writers have told us before that its not a good idea to take the villains word at face value although as Obi-wan would counsel what they say is the truth from a certain point of view. For all we know George may have thought he and his wife’s lives were blissful but in reality his wife may have been miserable and rather than continue she fabricates a fiction about a potion rendering her barren and is cast off while in actuality she’s pregnant and when George discovers the deception he kills her. After all in “The Shepherd” Rumple says to George that now that his Queen is gone conceiving another heir is out of the question.
