That’s an excellent point. Hook’s overt flirtatious gaze was actually reciprocated this time! To me, Hook’s smoldering gaze seems MUTUAL and WELCOMED by Tink, whereas Emma seems to be distracted and uninterested in returning Hook’s obvious interests. I wonder if there would ever come a point where Hook grows weary of having of Emma putting him off and instead shifts his attentions to Tink, a feisty, fun fairy who actually seems to dig him. And since Tink and Hook have a history together, then there is already a basis of familiarity and trust upon which to build a stronger relationship. They can get past the surface “just who are you” talk, since they already have a good feel for one another having worked together. Now I’m really curious to know what they’ve been through together!
