Was also going to add, at 41 years old I have acquired some jewelry from ex’s through the years. I occassionally wear some of it if it suits an outfit I’m wearing – the jewelry no longer holds ANY sentimental meaning at ALL because I have no feelings about the person who gave it to me and have not spoken or seen then in years (decades in some cases). I happen to be an accessory freak though. But I know several women who own very little jewelry and wear the same things every day and feel “naked” if they forget to put a piece of it on. That’s kind of how I felt about Emma’s necklace. She wears the exact same jewelry in every single episode (except one I think), that’s why I think wearing the necklace was really just habit. When Neal asked why she still wore the keychain, she reached up like she didn’t even realize it was still there.
