The big take away for me was also how much Emma’s changed from when Neal fell in love with her. Remember what he told her in Manhattan about he never would have gone near her if he knew where she was from? Remember why he left the EF in the first place? Now by some weird chance he found himself connected back to both of those things he resents. Nealfire grew to hate magic, he wanted it gone from his life and now to be with Emma he’d have to deal with accepting magic as a part of his life. The person Emma is now is so entirely different from who she was before. With Hook he’s falling for the person she is now, he knows her so well and really admires, believes in and respects who she is. The thing with the magic makes me think, that part of Emma isn’t something Hook would see as negative with Neal that’s something that he’ll have to work to accept.

I agree.

So who’s going to win her heart in the end?!

“I also believe in good form so when I win your heart, Emma, I won’t win it with trickery. I will win it because you want me.” By ceaselessly putting her happiness above everything else, we have Killian Jones bestowing chivalry at its finest as he valorizes the fact that he will not give up fighting for Emma Swan’s heart.

I love it when fanfiction becomes reality. Like I wrote that Killian wanted to do right by Emma. I think it’s also telling in that same speech that maybe, Neal, because he is jealous won’t go about wooing Emma the right away.

Maybe he’ll resort to “trickery”. That would be an interesting contrast between the two men. One does it the right way, and the other does it through malicious means. I don’t know about you all but I would root for the guy who woos Emma the right away: Killian.

I love Mark Isham. He is awesome. Music is very important on this show. Each character/couple have their own musical theme. So anyway…

It’s something I noticed and found quite important, during Emma and Killian’s scene, we can hear their theme, it’s not new, we all caught it, it’s full of hope, it screams true love and passion.

But then, when Emma tells them Henry is her choice, you can hear her theme, the one we can hear every time she’s the lost girl or the orphan, when she gets left behind or when she’s hurt and scared.

It’s important and they did it on purpose, on one hand you have a ship with a powerful theme when Emma lets her walls down, then the moment after, you have Emma building her walls up and her theme, the lost girl theme.

Even the music screams true love.

See, Mark Isham is a composition genius. He is showing us through music, how Emma has hope with Killian but when she puts up her walls, we stop hearing the hopeful beautiful CS theme and only hers, which represents loneliness and basically, her being an orphan and alone. I see what you did there Mark Isham.
