Everyone is judging the other man on the mistakes of his past and not his current actions. It’s a two way street. If CSers judge Neal on his leaving Emma in prison, then Hook should be equally judged by the SFers on his actions of leaving Emma and company to rot in Rumple’s cell.
Lol not really. Like I’ve said, Neal was in love with Emma and he betrayed her. Hook was not.
I do not approve of Hook’s treatment of Belle. He hates Rumple, fine, but don’t take it out on Belle. In fact Hook’s treatment of women in general has been less than endearing but poor Belle has got it the worst. I would like Hook to at least genuinely apologise to Belle for what he did to her.
I would like him to apologise to Belle too. But in fairness to Hook, Belle was the only weakness the Dark One had that could be used against him, until Rumple left SB and didn’t have magic anymore. And also, we can’t forget that Rumple very cruelly murdered Milah (I don’t like Milah, but Jeez what a horrific death), and his servant (and countless others), so his treatment of women isn’t the best either!
Hook has a nasty side to him but he also has a nice side too. It would be nicer to see the loyal, cheeky and intelligent side of Hook rather than the out for himself, double crossing, innuendo-spouting jerk he sometimes comes across as.
I think he is a good guy underneath it all. He was nasty to people because that’s what was expected of him, so he gave it to them. “You reap what you sow”. If you expect the worst from people you’ll get it. And the innuendo-spouting is his way of protecting himself IMO, much like Emma’s walls.
