Oh. Okay. So what was Neal’s reaction to Emma not showing up for their date? What does Neal think about the fact that Emma and Hook kissed? Did he ever TALK to Emma about that? Or about what SHE might feel in regards to Hook? Or did he just go ahead and assume that because he was back, that was all that mattered? Have we seen a single private moment with Hook and Emma, where Neal’s reaction is showcased? (Spoiler: the answer is no.) Where as EVERY “private” moment between Neal and Emma, we’ve gotten a reaction shot from Hook. Also, while we’re on the subject, how many times, when BOTH Neal and Hook were in the scene, did Emma turn to NEAL for his advice on a subject? NEAL suggested going to Dark Hollow, but who did Emma ask about it? It wasn’t Neal. When Neal and Hook were BOTH ATTACKED BY SHADOWS in the Hollow — Emma shouted for Hook. Neal shouted out HER name, and she looked at him, but she TURNED BACK TO HOOK. And … remind me, but who got the ROMANTIC goodbye scene in “Going Home”? WHEN BOTH MEN WERE PRESENT. Neal got a very platonic goodbye, Hook got the wavery voice, holding back tears, and the one little word that meant THERE WAS A CHANCE FOR THEM. Also, you know, explain the ENTIRETY of the bonding on Tallahassee. (This is canon and confirmed, SHE LEFT HIM BECAUSE SHE WAS AFRAID OF HOW CLOSE THEY WERE GETTING). She knew Neal was still alive. There was nothing “separating” them from each other, except for themselves, and she was STILL getting cozy with Hook, knowing Neal still existed. You may want to go back and give the show a rewatch. Just saying. Because it’s pretty clear that ST isn’t gonna happen if Hook is still in the picture.
