I agree. And it goes back to what I’ve been saying. Neal is not only like his dad, in that he’s a coward, his actions, abandoning Emma when he needed her the most, taking the easy way out — that was exactly like Milah. And the fact that neither of them tried to make it work. And the funny thing is, most Oncers generally hate Milah because of what she did but the irony is that, Neal abandoning Emma because he couldn’t try for her and taking the easy way out, is exactly the same thing his mom did to Rumple. And fans love him for it.

I mostly agree with you here! The difference for me is that Milah did it for very selfish reasons (and knew it), whereas Neal, while he was being cowardly and trying to avoid Rumple, abandoned her in a (misguided) attempt to do good. He probably saw it as a win-win situation. That makes me furious though. I stand by what i’ve said before:  sending her to prison was overkill. He had no right to make that kind of choice.

I think it’s important to remember that, though Neal will always be a part of Emma’s life due to his connection with Henry, they don’t need to end up together. They can have a friendly relationship. Emma and Neal may try to give it a go, for Henry’s sake, but ultimately they are not the same people they were when they first met. A lot has happened since then.

Yes, i agree. I don’t think they’ll actually give it another go though, rather discuss the possibility of it. Being in a relationship with Neal again would require Emma to be intimate with him both emotionally and sexually, the man who broke her, which just makes me want to shudder at the wrongness of it.

First love does not always mean true love. Just ask Rumple. He loved Milah and Cora but it is Belle who is his true love. Characters may ship SwanFire in show because then it would tie everything up in a neat little package, but real life is not like that. Tamara may not have truly compared to Emma in Neal’s eyes, but there will be someone who will.

Yep, i agree.

As to whether Tamara didn’t compare to Emma in his eyes, well i believe she did. Because he moved on with her and was genuinely in love with her. Now i’m not saying that he doesn’t still have residual feelings for her, but i think that’s more due to lack of closure. He doesn’t know her anymore (or she him).

Hook cares about both Emma and Neal so he’s not going to rub Neal’s face in it that he ended up with Emma and Neal didn’t. Hook isn’t going to try and replace Neal in Henry’s life.

He definitely wouldn’t, it’s clear from the scene where they drink to him that Killian did actually love him. I agree that he won’t try to usurp Neal’s position in Henry’s life, but i am pretty sure he and Henry will get on very well (eventually lol).

I am really enjoying watching Hook on screen this series. Emma’s “wouldn’t you like to know?” is definite flirty behaviour compared to how she reacted to him last season. Hook’s proven himself to Emma this season and whilst he will pursue Emma romantically, I think he knows when not to push his luck.

LOL, yes it was definitely flirty!!! And don’t forget the genuine smile from her when he said “excellent show of patience love”. He compliments her so much all the time, I can’t wait until she actually starts taking his compliments seriously.

He was definitely pushing his luck with that scene though IMO! In the way that when she said “wouldn’t you like to know?” she was expecting something equally as flippant back! But he genuinely surprised her when he said “perhaps i would”. You could see the moment when her walls slammed back up. But the funny thing about it, is that when she walks off and he’s watching her, you can see that he’s not actually surprised or disappointed. That was a VERY calculated, deliberate thing he said – he KNEW how she would react. He basically made his intentions towards her clear in that scene and it scared her.

From someone who started out absolutely hating CaptainSwan, I must say this ship has grown on me to the point where I quite like it.

WELCOME TO THE CAPTAIN SWAN SHIP!!! We have rum 😉
