What I mean is the power imbalance is there but Regina wasn’t in the relationship just because she thought she had power over Daniel. Daniel seemed to be Regina’s first romantic relationship so that kind of sets the standard for future relationships. Because of the social status difference, Regina was the one in power in that relationship.

Fair enough, I can see that she technically had the upper hand, due to the nature of their situation.

I think Regina felt something for Graham but I don’t think it was love. Graham must have had some sort of feeling for Regina, not love (don’t shoot me) but he continued to be with her even though she had his heart stored away and wasn’t in direct control of it, and he was unaware that she had his heart, so what did he think his feelings towards her was?

In SB, he didn’t have feelings, he was just going through the motions, but he didn’t realise that he didn’t have any feelings, or that going through the motions was weird, until Emma showed up and the Curse started to weaken and he started to wake up. Some quotes from Heart Is A Lonely Hunter…

Graham: I’m sorry, I just-

Emma: What? You what?

Graham: I need to feel something.

Emma: I’m sorry. I thought we were talking in a metaphor here. You really think you don’t have a heart?

Graham: It’s the only thing that makes any sense. It’s the only thing that explains why I don’t feel anything.

Graham: It has nothing to do with her. You know, I’ve realized that I don’t feel anything, Regina. And I know now it’s not me – it’s you.

Regina: So, you’re leaving me for her?

Graham: I’m leaving you for me.

Regina: Graham, you’re not thinking straight.

Graham: Actually, for the first time, I am. I’d rather have nothing than settle for less. Nothing? Is better than what we have. I need to feel something, Regina, and the only way to do that is to give myself a chance.

I guess her having his heart locked up in a box was enough for her to be able to control his actions. She could take it out and play with it if she was feeling dramatic, but it wasn’t actually necessary.
