I think what Pan fears most is dying alone and unloved. Hence why he collects lost boys. Pan seems to want to be a hero in their eyes
You had me until the unloved. I think he fears dying and dying alone. I don’t think he cares if the Lost Boys love him or not, so long as they play his game.
I do think he finds Regina to be a bit beyond him in terms of “plaything.” She’s not as easy to manipulate as Emma because, say what you want about Regina, she’s very sure of who she is. She IS a mother, she never needed to fight that part of her identity. Emma struggled with it now for 2 seasons.
