That being said, Neverland could be like Pan’s own version of a “The Most Dangerous Game.” Maybe NL plays with people’s minds such that they unwittingly peel off from the group. Hook might be able to guard against Pan’s tricks, having lived there for centuries. Emma, being True Love, might be protected against the danger of NL the way her heart was protected against Cora’s dark magic. So maybe by the time Neal shows up, Hook and Emma are the only ones remaining who aren’t captured. Then the three of them must band together to save everyone else.

I like it! What would lead Charming, Snow and Regina away?
Regina = Daniel? Visions of Henry? Visions of her past ill deeds?
Charming = his mother? his brother? Charming is always so steadfast that I’m not sure what it would take.
Snow = her father? her mother? what she “did” to Regina? Her own dark heart?

Yes, all of those things could be enough to make them peel away. I have another theory that NL is a place where people experience living dreams full of regret, like Regina said Snow would experience under the sleeping curse. If so, then all of those scenarios might be enough to cause otherwise strong individuals to have illusions, visions and dreams of regretful life-experiences.
