What if Jafar’s mother lied to him about his father being the sultan? She died and Jafar still believes the lie she told. When Jafar went to the sultan with his claims, the sultan put two and two together, if Jafar didn’t know who his father was, then he was obviously an illegitimate child.
I like this. She probably lied to comfort him and he took it seriously when he got older, believing it to be true. That would make for an interesting story. Imagine Jafar breaking down in tears when he realizes the sultan isn’t his papa :/ talk about emotional if our heroes actually comfort him
