With the person hiding the severity of the injury for now it has to be charming. I hope it doesn’t take them umpteen episodes to figure it out.
[adrotate group="5"]October 5, 2013 at 11:25 pm #214185PheeParticipantThey did promise us more PapaCharming and Emma moments. Her saving her dad’s life would be a pretty big one. Ok, I’m sorta convinced. Charming is injured (poison perhaps) and hides the extent of his injuries.
See I don’t get his why hide it when Regina can heal him?
Have we actually seen Regina heal anyone before? I was wondering about this the other day, and couldn’t remember. Had been thinking about it in relation to Hook maybe one day getting his hand back, and if Rumple loses his Dark One powers, maybe he can’t re-attach limbs any more, and Emma would have to do it, which led to wondering if Regina would be able to do it too.
BTS pics for 302 show that Regina’s gonna get a cut on her face in flashback, so I suppose we’ll get an answer as to her healing abilities, because if she can do it, they’ll show her fixing her scratch, the way Rumple did with his when Charming nicked him on the face.

Good point. I don’t think we have seen Regina heal anyone.
There is also the fact that some poisons can’t be magicked out. When Hook stabbed Rumple in NYC, Emma couldn’t just POOF the poison out of him.

She typically uses her powers to attack, control and destroy. Healing people instantly is a bit more like playing God, so I do wonder if that’s a power that only the Dark One, and at least one fairy wand, possess. Actually, that raises an interesting question, maybe Rumple wasn’t lying about that wand being evil, because the ability to restore health and life isn’t ethical, and is something that only really dark magic can do?

So maybe someone else will get this reference but magic users are often classed as offensive magic users or healers, both who cannot do much physical damage or take much damage. Then you have hybrids like Emma who heal, fight and can take a licking and keep ticking. but not as much offensive magic. Hybrid classes are hard to balance right in a game so then you get someone overpowered who does it all and better–like Rumple. but sometimes it does not work quite as well in a group where you need to protect or heal others, because the skills apply mainly to yourself.
So I do not expect Regina to be very good at healing magic–it is not her “class” in a manner of video game speaking but as it is a show, they can give her abilities for it if they want. I think we did see her do some positive things with magic on occasion, or at least not harmful.

October 6, 2013 at 6:23 am #214194PheeParticipantAh OK. It’s curious though, because wasn’t that Reawakened book also supposed to be canon, but it said stuff about Emma holding Henry right after he was born or something like that? I don’t actually have the book, so may be completely wrong, but am sure I saw something about that on tumblr the other day?

October 6, 2013 at 8:55 am #214200RumplesGirlKeymasterWhat if pan poisons charming an tells him where the cure is say opposite side to where henry is an as charming worsens this will force a split which pan was hopin for …
Very angsty. It fits with Charming’s overall personality: putting others before himself in an effort to be noble and the Knight (it’s his archetype, IMO). But eventually Snow will find out and then BAM—family conflict.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"October 6, 2013 at 9:15 am #214204kfchimeraParticipantJust what Peter (and the writers ) want. No wonder A&E are so excited to go to NL–it frees suspension of disbelief of why a character would put a rock and a hard place choice, rather than just kill the hero with the rock. The reason is–Pan is diabolical and enjoying the game, even if he may also have another deeper reason like testing the belief.
