    1) I’ll move this to S6 once we get that up and running

    2) I assume he means someone other than Wolkoff and Hales?

I think ONCE is in trouble with it’s characterizations and story line because of the revolving stable of writers. There are fewer writers who have been here since the beginning and our favorites only write one or two episodes per season. I think this is one reason EMMA was so flat in 5B. If the writers are newer to the show they will probably be unable to capture the essence of seasons 1 AND ;2.

WHAT do you think? Does the constant changes in writers impact the characters and story line of ONCE?

    Yes and no.

Yes because new writers haven’t sat with the characters as long as A and E or even Jane, Andrew Chambliss, ect. It’s natural that they have a steep learning curve.

No because as showrunners, A and E should be able to communicate their visions, their stories, and their characters clearly and concisely so that the new writers find a way to stay true to the show’s voice while adding their own twist.

It shouldn’t affect them.  And I think even Brigitte Hales said she like watched all the episodes before even writing hers.  They should have decent understanding.  Maybe not like the original writers, but there shouldn’t be plot holes and such.

I do wonder if the writer ship leanings can also affect the writing. So certain ships might get the spotlight more because the writers prefer that ship over others.
