Day 13- Favourite Canon Ship (In-show Past or Present) – Captain Swan baby! It gives me happy tears nowadays when I reflect on how far Emma and Hook have come in their relationship since their early beginnings in season two.

They weren’t enemies, per se, but on the opposite sides with different goals. But there was definitely a connection there in Tallahassee after that trip up the bean stalk. They were set up as Kindred Spirits for a reason, and I don’t think it’s coincidental at all that their journey this season (4a), parallel each other. Hook made a deal he didn’t quite understand and Emma did the same thing (ironically with the same person, Rumple). They both have walls but bit by bit, they’re breaking down them and falling in love with each other.

The thing that attracted me to CS is the first adventure up the beanstalk, how impressed Hook was with her talents. He was in awe of what she could do from the start and looked at her as an equal, and he still does. He loves everything about her and he doesn’t take for granted that they’re in this relationship together. What they become, it’s as much up to Emma as it is to him (his words to Charming in 4×02). He builds up Emma’s confidence in herself, they understand each other, he makes her happy, they make each other happy and I know Emma isn’t quite as vocal about her feelings for Hook as he is for her, but I have every confidence that she’ll get there.

I’ve been doing this ‘shipping thing for a long time and Captain Swan is seriously the most beautiful ‘ship I have ever ‘shipped because Emma and Hook could not be more perfect for each other. And I just feel by season’s end, something monumentally big is going to happen between these two.

    Day 12- Least Favourite Villain

Hm…out of the three main cast ones, I’d go with Regina. Sometimes her whininess gets on my nerves.

Out of the major villains they’ve faced since the curse broke (Cora, Pan, Zelena, Ingrid), I’m going to pick…Zelena. I was really looking forward to the Oz arc, and I don’t dislike the character per se, but I felt like they could have done more with it and the show would have been enriched by keeping her alive (or else making her death actually relevant to Regina & Rumple’s arcs in 4A). Oh, and she killed Neal. The actress, mind you, was fabulous.

Minor villains? I’ll go with Bo-Peep. I think I enjoyed her a lot more than some, but she was over the top and that whole episode could have been tighter; tweaking her or making her relevant beyond the one ep would have helped. (I mean, what, she can’t even be partly responsible for David’s father’s death?)

    Day 12-Least Favourite Villain

Zelena- I thought I was really going to like Zelena when she was first introduced but then Quiet Minds happened where Zelena was a right cow then It’s not Easy being Green happened where Zelena was so annoying and bratty, and her general behaviour towards Rumple, I wasn’t sorry that she then died the way she did.

Zelena’s backstory in It’s not easy being green was weak at best. Envy is not a strong motivation. She seemed nice until she found out she had a sister who she initially seemed excited about but then all of a sudden turned on without saying so much as a word to Regina. It would’ve been more interesting if Regina had actually slighted Zelena or if WickedSisters were actually getting along until someone slipped Regina a forgetting potion and Zelena felt rejected by Regina.

However, I don’t hate Zelena. I just think she’s a little under-developed and could’ve benefitted from not being the main big bad for 4B. They could’ve made the WickedSisters plotline a long-term sub-plot and developed Zelena a bit more.

All magic comes with a price!

Just an FYI to @obisgirl and @sanlucar, today is Day 12 – Least Favorite Villain, not Day 13 – Favorite Canon Ship. So you might want to post your Least Favorite Villain for today, and repost your Favorite Canon Ship post tomorrow. I’m guessing you mistook today for Day 13.

Day 12 – Least Favorite Villain

I’d have to say Cora.  For as much time as they gave her, I still couldn’t wrap my head around her.  Did she love Regina?  Did she hate Regina?  Did she just want to live vicariously through Regina?  Although she did make me feel a little more protective and empathetic toward Regina, so I guess she served her purpose.

    Day 12- Least Favorite Villian

Tamara – Unlike every other villain on OUAT, we were never given a real reason as to why she did what she did. Why did she hate magic so much? How did Pan convince her to hate it and how did she even get involved with Pan? She wasn’t a very “fun” villain either, so I’m glad her time on the show was short, but I wish the writers would have given us some background on her motivation.

    Day 12- Least Favourite Villain

Peter Pan, due to the terrible acting. Which is a shame because the character was out and out evil with no sympathetic back story

(I think I already said this for the least favourite reoccuring character. I suppose I cannot emphasize enough how bad I thought the actor was).

King George is the runner up, again due to the poor acting.

Day 13- Favourite Canon Ship (In-show Past or Present)

    Swanfire.

Hope, redemption, second chances, and family.

Also, as an aside for tomorrow: can we please not go into *great* detail about why your least favorite canon ship is your least favorite. No fighting.
