KeymasterDay 24- Least Favourite Episode Overall
Quiet Minds, without a doubt. Not only was Neal’s death totally unnecessary to the plot and has yet to be treated in any way that matters, but the writing was poor, the plot devices were simply stupid (The Vault of Eternal Goo), many characters were acting OOC, and there were things said and done–besides Neal’s death–that truly angered me.
Following that is The Snow Queen which I thought was just poor and silly writing on all sides, from Snow to Emma to RH and Will.
Then, of course, Selfless, Brave and True. Yeah, that one is just bad.

My choice is still Selfless, Brave and True. Don’t think I need to elaborate too much, as it’s a widely hated episode.

Participant@priceofmagic – I agree with most of what you said about Ariel.
Day 24- Least Favourite Episode Overall – Breaking Glass. I appreciate the writers for trying to define Regina and Emma’s relationship but seriously, Breaking Glass for SwanQueen just showed how unhealthy this friendship is to start with. Emma seriously deserves a better friend than Regina and I totally understand why for Emma’s first backstory episode this season, Jen didn’t live tweet at all. It’s because the episode was less about Emma’s character and more about listening to Regina whine about how Emma ruined her life, when in reality, in the old timeline, Robin learning that Regina killed his wife, probably would have killed his future relationship with her anyway. (And oh God, the queer bating…)

ParticipantThere’s no one episode that I’ve completely disliked–Quiet Minds started off being the episode I had wanted to see for several episodes, until it turned horrible in the second half. Going Home had some great stuff, too, until the end. (Both of them left me feeling drained and unable to even look at the timeline for a while–drama’s fine but when your show is leaving you downright DEPRESSED, and in some cases over a whole hiatus…ugh.)
And even my nominee for least favorite episode, In the Name of the Brother, had some truly amazing moments…they were just tucked into a story I couldn’t stand rewatching because it was so poorly scripted and acted.

Season 1’s Selfless Brave & True
It was just horrible…I just still think it was one of the most boring episodes of Once EVER!

ParticipantI’m not sure if I have an episode that I absolutely hated, but I wasn’t impressed with Season 4A as a whole. There were one or two episodes I enjoyed, but it was mostly an overwhelming feeling of ‘meh’.
I didn’t really like “Lacey”. The flashbacks were fine, but seeing the non-Belle version of Belle was not pleasant for me. Lacey stripped Belle of her honesty, compassion, and intelligence.

ParticipantDay 25- Favourite Plot Twist – Belle saves Hook’s heart and she banishes Rumple from Storybrooke. And in 4×12, Belle and Hook are going to start a friendship of sorts..

KeymasterDay 25- Favourite Plot Twist
I think my favorite plot twist was learning that Rumple was once just a humble spinner with a son he was trying to protect and soon lost due to the corruption of power. It was so meaty and a totally different spin on the fairy tale we all knew. Rumple just being a father looking for his child through any means necessary always stood out to me as one of A and E’s best original ideas.
Second to that would be that the lost little boy Rumple was looking for was actually Henry’s father. It made perfect sense given the inter-connectivity of the entire CharMillStiltskin family. The lost little son is actually the father of the boy who brought the savior to town to fight the woman who destroyed all the happy endings starting with the savior’s parents, two people who wouldn’t be together if not for the lost little son’s own father in the first place? It was strangely poetic and spoke to the family dynamics this show once believed in telling.

The curse breaking in the Season 1 finale, along with Rumple revealing that the true love potion was so he could bring magic into Storybrooke.

Pan switching bodies with Henry- Having to play Panry showed that Jared Gilmore could actually act brilliantly when he is given something to actually do beyond wide-eyed believe in yourself and you can achieve anything Henry. In fact I preferred Panry over normal Henry. Panry had relevance to the plot, Henry now is just a walking talking plot device. Jared’s getting too old to still play Henry as a cute and innocent little boy, he needs to be involved in the plot more in his own right rather than just propping up the other characters. At least have him make a contribution by making help Belle when it comes to research.
All magic comes with a price!
