Day 5- Favorite Female Character (Past or Present)
I’d have to go and choose Tinkerbelle for this one…there was a spice to her that was really good. She stood up for her dignity against Hook, helped get the gang out of Neverland, helped lead Regina to her soul mate Robin Hood, and she was Regina’s best friend. And a best friend is something Regina could really use right now besides her step-granddaughter or the rest of their family…but Rose McIver’s on another show right now, so it’ll be a while before we see Miss Tink again…

I’d have to say Mulan. I love her bravery, toughness, intelligence, and emotional strength. I also like Ariel, because she is so much fun, and very close to her Disney counterpart.

Tink!
The actress was decent, and perfectly cast. Great interpretation on how to bring Tink to the screen.
Loved her peppery, enthusiastic attitude.
I only wish we could see more of her back story: how did she get to NL? How did she meet Hook? More detail on her relationship with Pan?
I was say going to say Cora, but I might save her for a different category.
Granny and her no-nonsense attitude come in at a close second. In fact before Tink came along, Granny was my favourite supporting female cast member.

Just no.

Agreed. But Cora is a very close second.

Tamara.
Her entire appearance was frustrating because the writers wanted her to be too many things. She was the fiance that stood between Neal and Emma and then, turns out, she was secretly evil! The Home Office plot was underwhelming and they never answered any questions about Tamara. Why did she hate magic so much? What was her backstory? The only reason we don’t have answers is because the fandom really disliked her so they killed her off quickly.

Same. Second would be Cora.
February 6, 2015 at 12:02 pm #295460KebParticipantYep, Tamara. What was most frustrating was that she was never really given a backstory–we know nothing about who she actually IS. In fact, the earliest we see her is timed to occur when time starts moving in Storybrooke–at which point she appears to already be working for Pan (but why? nobody knows).
We don’t know what Neal really saw in her (other than that she was pretty and appeared interested in him), we don’t know what really happened to her grandmother, we don’t know why she hated magic, we don’t have any clue what she saw in Greg or he in her.
Even A&E admitted the taser wound up a little ridiculous. She really only existed as a plot device, and not even a necessary one–Emma’s walls were already up and there was already a pirate to come between her and Neal. Oh, and Neal was already afraid of meeting with his father again. And their history was complicated enough.
And everything she actually DID in the plot could pretty much have been done, and with more substance, by Greg.

Anna
I choose Anna because she was too much of a copy and paste from the Anna from Frozen, the actress did really well with what she had to do but tonally she didn’t fit OUAT. Whilst it’s nice for the Once versions to have traits in common with their Disney counterparts, I don’t want the actual Disney version in the Onceverse which is what Anna was. The main thing that bugged me about Once’s Anna is how they Mary-Sued her into Charming and Belle’s backstories. Charming and Belle were great standing on their own two feet, they didn’t need Anna to “help” them. I don’t need Charming to be brave because he met Anna, I don’t need Belle to want to be a hero because she met Anna. Anna can sod off!
All magic comes with a price!

Well…that is one thing we can all agree on….Tamara!
It wasn’t that she stood between SwanFire, okay so that had a little bit of reason in it, but my main reason was because she turned out to be a traitorous wench who not only thought she could kick Emma’s (beep), but she also shot Neal! And most of all…the woman had the audacity to try to electrocute Regina to death….I just couldn’t with Tamara’s character….yeah, so Rumple healing her then killing her….I had no problem. Though I wish Emma could have gotten her hands on her again…that S1 Emma would have done serious damage!
