I like how they aren’t giving us the thief’s name. Does sound Robin Hood-ish to me. I wonder what magic he steals from Rumple. Is it a physical item? Like one of the artifacts he’s been having Jefferson collect?
That’s an interesting thought! It must be something tangible, since how could someone steal magic, which is comparable to energy? Perhaps the thief steals potions or golden thread spun from straw. Yet, we did see Mr. Gold use a fairy wand to steal magical power from the diamonds in SB in 2×4. So maybe this thief has another wand or something similar like a staff or an orb which he uses to steal magic.

If this guy is Robin Hood, then him stealing the (magically created) gold from the rich guy would be perfectly fitting.

ParticipantLooks like we have our Robin Hood!

Spoiler courtesy of OnceUponAFan.
Major news, Oncers! OnceUponAFan just released a spoiler statement regarding a major new character heading to Once Upon a Time this season, according to a trusted source. According to the clue they gave regarding Diane J. Reed’s latest book, we can confirm that that character would be Robin Hood.
Can this be referring to the two latest roles being cast for episode 2.19?A Thief, who is male, 30 years old, brave, honorable and steals magic from Rumpelstiltskin; Keith, who is 35, bitter due to a hard life, and likes to chase women.
(Also, go support the lovely Diane J. Reed by buying ‘Robin in the Hood’ on amazon.)"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. When you leave it, there’s this feeling that you can’t shake. You just miss it." Neal Cassidy

KeymasterInteresting. But why are they introducing him so late into the season? Where is Cora? Is she really dead by now?? How in the world does this season end if not in some epic battle against Cora??

ParticipantI love Robin Hood…but have to agree with RumplesGirl…this really seems late in the season. Season two is shaping up to be the season of thieves.

If Robin Hood is a major character, they could be setting the stage for next season (sort of like how they introduced Cora late in the first season, episode 18).

Your right…she was introduced around the same time…I’m just kind of wondering how Robin Hood fits into all of this…there were a few theories that Neal was Robin Hood at one time…at the very least he may have a connection to him somehow even if it’s only in a parallel way….lol I guess the writers do love thieves.

😆 It’s like Baelocchio the Wizard of Neverland all over again. 😉
They may be setting Robin up to be a major player next season. Or perhaps his role will only be a small one for an ep or two. Either way, I’m excited to see what they do with him. 😀
