It’s definitely Cora that Snow and Emma encounter. I went frame by frame through the promo. You can tell by cloak. It’s the same black cloak Cora wears in “Stable Boy” and the hair is the same even though you only see her from the back. So my theory is that she’s ruling whatever is left of the Enchanted Forest.

Bailee Madison is in this ep too though, isn’t she? Which suggests they’ll be showing flashbacks to the time when Snow was young. And we’ve seen clips of more YoungRegina too. But Snow and Emma are currently in present day FTL. And they have a scene with Cora? How does that all work together? Unless they somehow jump back in time? But doesn’t info for future eps say that Mulan and Aurora help them to find a portal back to SB? Would they ALL time jump to FTL past? Surely Aurora wouldn’t leave the time and place that Phillip is still in? Could Cora be in present day FTL, even if they’re also showing YoungSnow and YoungRegina stuff? My head hurts. Again. 😆

What do you mean? Cora can be in present storyline and then the can flash back to the past. Remember Snow the first time around didn’t know Cora was evil so they could flashback to when Snow found out how evil she was that’s why she looks so protective of Emma when they meet her in the present.

Haha- this may get confusing on the forums with everyone trying to make sense of everyone else’s interpretations of flashback, flash sideways & SB timelines.

Given Rumple, Cora, young Snow & Regina are in this ep, I’d say it’s a safe bet we at least see pre-curse FTL & I’m picking Cora is indeed in post curse (real time) FTL.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how they manage 3 times with-in an episode. I just hope each episode doesn’t turn into a bunch of very short clips stuck together, since we now have an extra set of story lines to incorporate into the 15 or so we already have.

3 times within an episode plus a whole bunch of characters with 2 realities stuck in their head yikes!

Good lord, that is a lot of people! How do the writers even keep it strait![FACE WITH STUCK-OUT TONGUE AND WINKING EYE] Pre curse & post curse / present day in 2 or more worlds! Looking forwards to it!

I also wonder how they are going to be able to give sufficient time to a storyline in each episode if they are flipping between three realities. That seems like a bit much. I know they keep saying that it works, but i am not so convinced. We will see, but i think it might make the show choppy and take us away from what we want to see too long and make that frustrating. I know i was frustrated in the Ep 1 and they weren’t even doing three times yet.

I get that, as I wanted more than the 2 & 1/2mins of actual reunion time we got & 10mins of reactions/together time 😉

Right. I want way more of the family time then we got. They spent way too much time with Rumpel and an annoying amount of time on Aurora and Mulan bickering with one another.

^They spread the screentime around equally.

Ooo! This is the episode when Regina first meets Rumpel. right? I’ve been waiting for this all summer. 😀 I always enjoy their scenes together.

I agree. The screentime was pretty equal in my book. Saying that the episode had too much Rumpel is like saying the episode had too much Regina. They’re both main characters and they both added to the story. Rumpel in particular because he’s the one who not only brought the magic into Storybrooke, but he also released the wraith. The episode would be 30 minutes shorter without his part in it.

I actually timed it- these are all approx 😉

    13mins – Arouro, Malun & Phillip
    5mins – Rumps & Bell
    3mins – Rumps & Regina
    4mins – Regina
    45secs – Charming & Henry
    2mins – Mystery man
    2&1/2mins – Snow, Charming & Friends reunion/chat
2&1/2mins – Actual Snow, Charming, Emma & Henry reunion including ‘the talk’
9mins – Of all other Charming family interactions with Ragina, Gold, wraith fighting, 1st walk (group talk) & mob/Dr Whale.

So there wasn’t a whole lot of Emma with her parents in this ep 😉 Which is what I most wanted to see 🙂
Flip when it’s broken down like that, it does beg the question of how short each clip will be with adding a 3rd set of tales to the mix 😐 I cant wait until tomorrow to find out tho!!! 😀
