Wait. I’m slow. Is your theory that this is the hatter’s wife? Hatter married a green lady? I’m trying to get a clear picture of what your vision is. Regina turned her sister green when they were kids..later, green sister married the hatter?
Well I think Regina turned her green with a poison apple (a la Oz: the G and P) and I can’t work out the tword yet, but WickedHatter is an interesting idea.

Yep Cinder! Regina turned WWW green when they were kids by accident…and later in life somehow WWW landed in Oz. That’s my permanent theory!
WickedHatter is a working theory till I’m told other wise, so its bound to change at any second. But yeah…WWW meets Jefferson who breaks her heart, and she turns to black magic not knowing that she’s pregnant. She gives birth to Grace, and sends her to Jefferson, because she deemed herself too wicked to be a mother…That’s my working theory, which like I said could change any day now.

I guess I could have found one from the movie version that was first thing on google image search that I liked.

O_O I never thought of that (and must have missed it when you said it)

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"January 14, 2014 at 11:05 pm #237123PheeParticipantThis WickedHatter theory intrigues me. Would it work with the t-word though? How many years pre-Curse do we think Grace was born? As in, was she already born when Jefferson went to Oz for Rumple? And did that crystal ball belong to the WW like we’ve all assumed? Jefferson seemed to still mourn the loss of Grace’s mother, so I dunno that I could see him going to Oz and just stealing something from her and then leaving again like it was just a job. But if Grace wasn’t yet born when Jefferson did that job, and if WW is Grace’s mother, she had to have her after that point in the t-word. But if WW was already in Oz by then, why was Grace perfectly at home in FTL? I just twisted my brain into several knots, so am not sure what’s going on and if I wanna stick with this theory or let it go.
I know it’s mostly just been said as a joke, but it could be fun if they did a Princess and the Frog thing. Maybe it backfired, and instead of the frog becoming a Prince, the kiss turned WW green.
Also love the green apple idea though. It seems like it’d be an impossible opportunity to pass up, to give Regina a green apple to use against someone. Going back to t-word questions, that would mean that WW became green after Jefferson’s trip to Oz, because at that point in time, Regina didn’t have much in the way of powers, and wasn’t even in the frame of mind where she wanted to go around hurting anyone and everyone. Unless the green apple was a beginner spell gone wrong? But I got the impression that Regina had known Jefferson and his wife when they were together and had Grace.
Urgh, headache.
Looking at Mario Van Peebles’ directing credits, I see he did an ep of LOST, just one single ep in all 6 seasons of the show, so I went to refresh myself on what happened in that ep on the off chance that maybe it’d have a similar sort of theme to the Once ep they thought to get him in to direct. Dr Linus. There’s some parent/child thematic stuff with Ben and Alex. On the Island, Ilana makes Ben dig his own grave because he’d killed Jacob, who was like a father to her, and Ben ends up referencing how he sacrificed his (adopted) daughter Alex’s life and watched her die because he chose Jacob and the Island over her life. And in the flash sideways, Ben’s a teacher who is tutoring Alex and tries using underhanded methods to help her get into college and advance his own career in the process, (she ends up getting the college reference letter, but he doesn’t end up getting the promotion). There’s also some stuff about people trying to kill themselves and not being able to because the Island won’t let them. (Trying to sum up a whole ep of LOST in a couple of sentences is hard. LOL) And there’s one of those “BOOM surprise it’s Charles Widmore” moments, so now I have a mighty need for there to be an unexpected King George cameo in this ep.

Urg. Tword issues aren’t helping, you’re right.
–Regina meets Jefferson 10 yrs before Curse
–Jefferson delivers Ball (and cannot deliver Red Slippers) 10 yrs before Curse
–Most likely, Jefferson is not married at this point, but it has to be soon. Grace was about 8ish in Hat Trick
–So maybe Jefferson didn’t take the ball from the WWW?
–Jefferson meets the WWW, they have Grace and then Regina poisons her and she exiles herself to Oz and Jefferson can’t get her back (ugh…I don’t know)

that’s interesting. Linus was always the Wizard Figure in LOST, too. One of his first centrics is called “The Man Behind the Curtain.” He was always associated with OZ.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"January 14, 2014 at 11:41 pm #237129WickedRegalParticipantTIMELINE FOR WICKEDSISTERS
-Cora has an affair with the Wizard, and becomes pregnant with WWW.
-Xavier demotes Cora and Henry Sr. to the countryside of the kingdom.
-Cora has Rumpelstilskin hold Regina and WWW to decide which child that was destined for greatness, hence Rumple held Regina when she was more “portable”
-Henry Sr. loves both girls whereas Cora favors Regina, and neglects WWW
-WWW always wants to play with Regina, but Cora forces Regina to focus on her lessons and studies instead of allowing the sisters to play together.
-Regina and WWW were young children when Regina accidently turned WWW green…
-Cora not wanting a green child to ruin her reputation sent WWW away to Oz, separating her and Regina.
-WWW somewhat resents Regina for being the favorite daughter who seemed to always get everything she wants. “Green with envy”
-WWW grows up in Oz picked on others for her skin color.
-Regina story happens, and she becomes Queen.
-Jefferson goes to Oz for Rumple, and there he meets WWW
-Regina becomes Evil Queen, when Jefferson breaks WWW’s heart turning her “wicked”.
-WWW is pregnant, but gives the baby up to Rumpelstilskin to give to Jefferson. She deemed herself too wicked to raise a child, especially since she has a bit of mommy issues.
-Jefferson raises Grace who changes him for the better. He then regrets that he broke WWW’s heart as his “works” caused him to lose her.
-Evil Queen and Wicked Witch of the West reign terror in their designated area till Regina casts the curse.

True!
The title for the episode “The Man Behind the Curtain” is a reference to the ruler of Emerald City (the titular Wizard) hiding behind a curtain (in the movie version), projecting a much greater image of himself unseen. Locke suspects Ben of orchestrating all of the Others’ plans by means of deception, saying to him: “You’re the man behind the curtain…the Wizard of Oz!”
when Jefferson breaks WWW’s heart turning her “wicked”.

That would feel ret-con-ish to me. When we saw Jefferson and Grace, I got the impression that her mother had been someone he’d been truly in love with and happily married to until something went wrong and he lost her and gave up his work as a result of his grief over it all.
