To me this Ep felt like True North, except on the freaky side. Emma helping Hansel & Gretal find their happy ending. Charming helped Rupunzel find her happy ending. It’s an episode where someone gets their happy ending. I think Charming helping Rupunzel gave him his hope back, maybe the others as well. The ball or party could be showing that life must move on.

I agree with KFC. She was total filler–we’ll never see her again, she’ll have no connection to any other character except for this once instance with Charming. Bit of a let down from how much they hyped her.

Also loved the scene between Henry and Regina. It’s nice to see him using her of all people as a confidant.
When she mentioned a brother, I was hoping it would turn out to be Lancelot and we’d find out he wasn’t dead, and….you know, easter eggs for some future plot down the line leading to Camelot or a hint to the past. Lancelot mattered to David, to have saved his sister and help give her courage to lead their people? Wouldn’t that have made it more touching?
I was hoping for the Lancelot connection too! Maybe he just got washed down stream, he didn’t really die, and when he came to he didn’t remember who he was and so he stayed in Camelot?
Main dislike: enough with the “Mary Margaret” FFS. She’s SNOW and you know she’s Snow, and she’s your freaking wife who is pregnant with your child, so CALL YOUR PREGNANT WIFE BY HER REAL NAME. Sorry, but that’s just become a pet peeve of mine.

Does that woman lack common sense? Don’t trust a stranger, especially not one who croons over your pregnant belly and makes you tea. Not when people are disappearing and the Wicked Witch is on the loose.
I’ll accept it if she’s the scarecrow’s counterpart. Maybe that plot is already well underway. Although, in a sense, the whole town is the scarecrow.

It should have been Rapunzel who became the wicked witch. Imagine David giving his motivational speech, giving Rapunzel the courage to overcome her fears and be the person she aspires to be, and it turns out that the only thing holding her back from world domination was her fear of failure.

Also on my like list: Bobby Carlyle, because his portrayal of yet another incarnation of Rumple is fabulous as always. He’s really quite in the dark about what Zelena is up to, he’s totally vulnerable, and his crazy person moments in this ep had just the right amount of desperation.

- Crazy Rumple
- Daddy!Charming moment at the start (minus the weird Exorcist dollspinning)
- Hook’s sass (again)
- the CS orchestra swelling moment… yes love. That heart still works.
- Outlaw Charming bro moment – but back away pls Robin.
Least favourite: Snow gain some common sense and get away from the stranger lady, waste of Rapunzel although I did like the way they span the monster story.
March 24, 2014 at 7:26 am #255142RedParticipantI hated this episode. The hooded figure was scary but didn’t warm to Rapunzel and didn’t even see how her story was needed. If they are going to bring in new characters, I would rather them have a proper storyline! HATED that there was no Neal. When Snow was like ‘we’re pregnant’…. you don’t say? :SS Only part I liked of this episode is that it had a lot of Charming!
March 24, 2014 at 8:02 am #255144Rhea LunaParticipantI’m new have just started lurking this season.
I wanted to say the whole episode felt kind of boring and slow to me. I think the only good part was Regina and Henry and how Regina hints that he will probably have a family so big he won’t know what to do with (or something)
And the dream sequence was cool. I didn’t even really think about the Mrs. Gold stuff as much as other people.
But other than that I was very distracted. The episode was a letdown in comparison to the promos we saw. Also if they are going to discover who the witch is by the next show then I think this half of the season is revealing too much too quickly. I feel like the story is going fast even though 3×14 was kind of lame imo.
The Rapunzel story hardly made sense and didn’t really flow.

See, that I like.
