Liked:

– Hookriel feels!

– Belle & Ariel BFF’s

– Blackbeard. Too bad it was such  a tiny part, but honestly I loved it anyway.

–  Magic lessons with Emma and Regina.

– The fact that for once, Regina could sit at the same table as the Charmings and actually get along. She looked part of a family. I also liked that there was a smidgeon of protectiveness going on when Regina told Snow that Zelena wouldn’t be able to put her hands on the baby again.

Disliked:

– Not finding out about the message/potion, although I’m beginning to think we might simply never find out about it and that that will be one of those things left to our own imagination.

On the fence:

– Still Hook. I keep expecting him to surprise me and suddenly out of nowhere be all selfless and stuff, but then he turns around and just, you know, throws Blackbeard overboard and leaves Ariel hanging basically. But then again in the end he did confess their past encounter to her and expressed his regrets which was lovely. So yeah, I continue to feel as conflicted about him as he himself most likely does.

Favorites:

They actually remembered that Smee was a rat!

Emma and the Charmings and Regina and Henry!!! Every scene was golden. Charming teaching Henry how to drive was probably the funniest scene of the entire show!

Ariel!!!

The plot twist was great. Especially because people in the forum guessed that the girl in the tavern was Zelena and before episode 12 people guessed that if Emma marries Walsh and they kiss it will prevent her from breaking the curse.

Finaly Hook confessed his love to Emma. I don’t ship them but seriously just do that already!

Least favorites:

Hook sort of killed Eric. Ariel saved him but Hook tought that he would die of he kills Black Beard and he did it anyway.

Ariel got her happy ending but it probably means that we will never see her again 🙁

That scene when Hook looked at Emma through the spyglass was just sad. A little sad like tears but mostly sad like dude you’re pathetic.

I have the rather unique position of having shipped Hookriel on the show for a year before Hook was even introduced (I joined a OUAT RP as Hook after “Snow Falls” aired and he eventually married and had a child with Ariel), so suffice to say last night’s episode is one I’ve waited for almost as long as the show’s been on the air and it ABSOLUTELY DELIVERED. Even if it was all just a big tease, it was a glorious forty minutes that made up for the first Hook episode of season three being a big let down. One of my favorite episodes so far.

So, naturally, I loved all the Hookriel. I loved the twist and I never thought I’d be rooting for a CS kiss but, what can I say, I’d like to see Zelena succeed as much as possible before they knock her down.

Also, a minor thing, but I loved seeing what I assumed to be a Hand of Glory in Regina’s vault. Little details like that please me.

The only thing I really didn’t like was their effectively writing out Ariel with her happy ending. I’m going to miss my favorite fish. Also something about Regina in this half season is really grating on me, maybe it’s just because I’m so firmly on Team Wicked.
