Speaking of flashback, OMG Pan himself was in FTL recruiting kids?! Which means that Pan got Bae TWICE?!
If PP’s whole goal was to keep Bae until he could go to Emma then Bae would have been in NL for a “X” additional years (I can’t work the math right now)

Something doesn’t quite add up since giving Rumple untold power doesn’t exactly make it any easier for PP to isolate Bae from his dad. If PP is the one who planted the seer, then PP would’ve known about the prophesy of the dark curse. He would’ve known that Rumple would lose Bae. Was it just a matter of PP figuring out how Rumple would lose Bae by trial and error? Did the BF then have to step in and give Bae the magic bean to send him to A Land Without Magic after PP failed to capture Bae using the pipe?

The next episode of ABC’s Once Upon a Time will flash back to the time Rumplestiltskin first met Peter Pan, in the course of saving his son Bae from the perils of Neverland. And we’ve got a smattering of photos from the face-off.

Instead, I think Rumple didn’t meet PP directly until he was already the Dark One. As for Rumple’s doll, my new idea is that while the doll is from his childhood, it’s simply a magically manifests itself as Rumple’s worst fear while in current-day NL. Or maybe Rumple simply gave that doll to little Bae, who had it while in NL. That doll represents Rumple’s UN-happy thought.

And as you and I are discussing Matt’s spoiler doesn’t line up with the press release which clearly states that this is FTL of the past. We think Matt means “saving Bae from GOING TO NL of the past”
The doll as his unhappy thought is intriguing. Everything in this world is topsy turvy.

Now that you mention it, he does seem a bit like vampire. He is an immortal child after all. He certainly looks very aristocratic. We’ve been speculating he’s actually the Duke of the Front-lands. Also, the red vest reminds me a bit of Hook’s red vest. Coincidence? We know that Hook and PP share some sort of secret connection.

Hook Rumple and PP are all brothers. Triplets. Separated at birth and grew up in different lands and under different circumstances. Hook = pirate heir; PP = grew up royalty (Duke of the Frontlands); Rumple = grew up peasant with horrible father.
