I joked that maybe Rumple and Neal were trying to spearfish a mermaid, but perhaps they’ll at least be talking to one, because they want squid ink in present day? Or maybe that’s squid ink that Rumple’s got painted on his face? I’ve wondered before if perhaps the ink is the antidote for the dreamshade, (because dreamshade poison looks like ink).

So not here then. I got so wrapped up in the PapaStiltskin and Son feelings that I didn’t even stop to think: why in the world are they spearing something!? What are they spearing? Mermaid possibly or maybe even a squid. I’m going to laugh hysterically if Rumple or Nealfire kill Ursula.

Does he mean that as in, “NL will always be a part of you.”??
Or is he gonna keep talking and say, “The only way someone escapes, is if I set them free.”??The reason I wonder about the latter option is that what if Neal is under the impression that he did escape by the power of his own will, determination and actions, and Pan’s gonna tell him that that wasn’t actually the case, which would then shake Neal’s confidence regarding his ability to help save Henry and get him away from NL?

Part of PP’s game is revealing very slowly how he’s behind everything. If Neal has gone to NL thinking “I can rescue Henry because I escape once and can do it again” and PP tells him that this is not the case becuase he was behind it all along it’s going to shake Neal, just like forcing Emma to confront her feels of being an orphan shook her.

Phee, you were nearly right. The newest promo gives a glimpse of a giant kraken-like creature! So, they still might be trying to get squid ink. I love your idea that squid ink might be a way to treat dreamshade (which does look black and inky).
