Hagrid had Aragog, a giant spider that lived in the Dark Forest with its family and tried to eat Harry and Ron in the second book, The Chamber of Secrets. Aragog later died in the sixth book, The Half Blood Prince

I think you mean Hagrid, the groundskeeper of Hogwarts and professor of Care of Magical Creatures.
