Hmmmmm. NL flashbacks, a prediction:
–At least one of Baelfire’s time in NL
–At least one (I predict two) of PP and Tink
–At least one of Hook’s history with NL (which could be AdultHook or YoungHook)If Hook was a Lost Boy then he could potentially appear in all of those flashbacks though it makes my head hurt to think about the t-word.

If that is the case I wonder if they will do the same thing with Emma. Snow was about 10 when she meet Regina, so maybe they will show Emma about that age?
I thought they said that we don’t have to watch WL except that some of the characters were from Once and WL is fiction vs Once. Also, wasn’t Once before WL so how can the criss cross from WL to Once? It is Once that share the characters to WL, not WL to Once is what I understood.

So, Devin could be young Rumple.

The fact that I didn’t think of this makes me want to go sit in a corner of shame!

He couldn’t be in Bae’s flashbacks, because Hook was an adult then. The rest, yes.
Have gone back and forth a bunch of times on whether I think Hook had been to NL before the Milah incident.

Could be, though the character is described as being “very competitive” and granted we don’t know yet what Rumple was like as a child, but the youngest point we’ve seen him at, he seemed pretty easy going.

There is a hint in the original Barrie play that the Darlings father was a lost boy. At least, there is a line,
“The fact that George Darling recognizes the shape of the cloud in the form of a ship from his childhood suggest that he was once a Lost Boy himself, but left the group and grew up.” on the Disney wiki.
http://disney.wikia.com/wiki/George_DarlingCould George Darling have been a captain in the English Royal Navy?

Now that you’ve got me thinking about it, it does make me wonder if maybe they had an ulterior motive for putting the deleted scene of the Darling family on the DVD. Hmmmmm. But if they were gonna include Mr Darling’s history, I’d think that would probably be in a Darling centric ep, not a Hook centric?
I’m still stuck on thinking Liam is code for, “Killian’s father” though. Liam is a short form of William which only has the first and last letter different to Killian. So even if “Liam’s” name ends up being something different, the part of me that loves a conspiracy theory thinks that’s how they chose the codename for the casting call. 😛
As for Devin being YoungKillian, whenever I go back and forth on this issue lately, I always end up back at how Hook was smiling so big and super excited to go to NL at the end of The Crocodile. Surely if he’d been there as a Lost One, he’d know it’s not really a fun place to go to, and that once you’re there, it’s all but impossible to leave. So while it may be a good place to buy time, it’s not the best place to be if the guy you wanna kill is in a different world. So unless things had changed drastically since he was there previously, I dunno that it works for him to have such an intimate knowledge of the place.
Though my Hookriel headcanon could potentially benefit from him having been there for a while if Ariel’s always lived in NL.
August 16, 2013 at 12:45 pm #205219RumplesGirlKeymasterTo me, Devin is the wild card here. We don’t know who he is supposed to be, but Liam’s never been questionable in my mind. He’s Hook’s father, whether that means adopted or biological, I don’t know. I have certain headcanon issues here. But from what we know from other spoilers, 305 is going to be a Hook episode, so I don’t know if tying the Darlings back in makes any sense on this front. I would expect to see them in a PP episode of a young Bae episode.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"August 16, 2013 at 1:00 pm #205220kpercymanParticipantMaybe Devin was the owner of the doll Felix threw Rumple.
It could be any of these scenarios:
-Rumple was forced to kill Devin due to something with PP.
-Rumple and Devin were both lost boys together. Rumple basically looked after him like an older brother and then PP killed Devin/ripped his shadow. He was now forced to do all of PP’s bidding. Rumple took his doll as a memory but left it there when he fled NL.
-Devin is Rumple, owner of the doll
-Rumple as the DO comes to NL on a quest to find ingredients for the curse. Him and PP are already enemies. Something that Rumple needs for the curse is hidden in the Lost Boys sleeping quarters. Devin is in the wrong place at the wrong time and ends up dead with a ton of other boys. After Rumple kills Devin he sees him clutching the doll in his hand and notices he looks a lot like Bae. End scene!
Or he has nothing to do with the doll and I am just rambling.

Rambling has been responsible for some of my crackpottiest theories. There ain’t nothing wrong with rambling. 😉
The potential glitch I see with the doll being Devin’s is that at D23, right before they showed that scene, they said it was “the culmination of” the ep, which has had me thinking that we’ll see who originally owned the doll in 301. That’s just an assumption on my part though, and I could be completely wrong.
