I still don’t think the doll was an image of Bae because Felix says how it was something Rumple hadn’t thought about in years. Bae was on Rumple’s mind every day for 300 years.
His father….maybe. We’ll see on that front.
I’m still on team brothers. It fits with the tradition.
RC is not playing his own father. If he was, there would have been no casting call. They just aren’t going to announce it. They do that.

Pan was looking for friends to take to Neverland because he was bored, and Rumple inadvertently gave him the idea to call the gang Lost Boys.
But introducing Rumple Snr in an episode titled with such an obvious nod to Pan…. hello brothers!
It would explain the obvious contentious history between Pan and Rumple. When Rumple came to rescue Bae, Pan not only knew him, but knew him from childhood – he said something like ‘look at you, all grown up and the Dark One too!’ That sounded like a such a snarky big brother comment to me, especially if big brother Pan ran off because Rumple came along (which is the origin of Pan in Barrie’s story – ran off to play with the fairies when his parents didn’t play with him, came home one night to find he’d been “replaced” by a new baby)

Because how else would Pan know everything about Rumple’s life, unless Rumple told him some of it when he was friends with Pan. Can’t wait to see the back story between Pan and Rumple, and what happened between the two that changed Rumple’s mind about Pan.
I wonder if this episode is going to show baby Rumple, if it follows the Barrie story about Pan coming back home, and seeing little baby brother Rumple.

I was more against the Lost One Rumple thing, but the PP having a baby brother then running away made sense. I remember over the summer I started a joke thread of how is PP related to the family. It is not looking like a joke now!

Tonight’s episode certainly gives it food for thought as killing Pan results in the death of Rumple. Makes me think of the movie Fight Club only because the realms have magic, imaginary friends become real in NL. Just thought I’d throw her theory out there because it’s something to chew on.

November 4, 2013 at 5:42 am #220938PriceofMagicParticipantThat is a very interesting theory about Pan being the imaginary friend turned real. Wasn’t there some sort of movie where the imaginary friend turned evil because the child stop believing in them or forgot about them then the imaginary friend turned good again when the child remembered and believed again? I think it was called Bogart or Bogard or something.

Yes! It suggested not just that they knew each other as kids, but that they shared a home, if Pan knew what Rumple’s fave breakfast was, even that he likes the yolks runny.
November 4, 2013 at 7:01 am #220962PriceofMagicParticipantWell at least we know what Rumple’s favourite food is, I can almost hear the fan fics being written where Belle makes Rumple his favourite breakfast
