It didn’t look to me like she was following the yellow brick road. It looked like she was actually creating the yellow brick road. Possibly she paused for a second as if she hears something, like a little yellow bug behind her. Here comes Emma!

I think it had the feel of the other promos for legendary characters in that it isn’t an actual scene. It might echo things that we will see, but it is a stretch to say the promos were foreshadowing events in a meaningful way. Yes, Ariel shows up at the Dwarf’s lunch, but she didn’t steal a fork or have a blue tail, or have any sort of mischevious “so long sucker” attitude to her like it seemed the promo Ariel did with that one hand wave when Grumpy shouts. Then Hook, well, I can’t think of a significant scene he has inside of Gold’s shop up until the thing this season where it was pretty much all the main cast characters (but not actors as it was Kay not Gilmore playing Henry). Even the baby blanket was an off-screen break-in that apparently Smee handled.So I think whoever makes the promos isn’t given much information or the plot ideas change by the time the script is filmed. I do expect we’d see a gold brick road though, but not sure it will literally form under Wicked’s feet that way or that she’ll be approaching SB from the land without magic way.
I like the idea of her being both Dorothy and WWW, perhaps having landed in the real world with the ruby slippers in order to avoid a prophecy of a huge curse/change her life? Then like what might have happened to Neal had he crossed the line with Emma and Henry, the reverse curse Regina triggers rips her back to Oz. So she’s upset at losing her “new life” and comes to EF to cast a curse to go back?
I just want Wicked’s motivation to be Regina’s original curse not some newly created backstory grudge (unless it has to do with Maleficient. That I’d welcome seeing).

I think we can all agree that the Wicked Witch of the West will be fantastic!!! I hope that this is Theodora with the Once spin on it, and everyone captilizing WICKED which is as we know is the logo for The WICKED Elphaba….I hope this is Theodora with a slight Wicked twist and Once Spin…. BUT I OFFICIALLY DECLARE MYSELF A WESTENER! I will wear that belt under my REGAL BELT! Because this Witch looks fierce…just like her big sister! Hands down second best promo!

To be honest I think we CAN read into the yellow brick road appearing in her wake!!!
I saw on tumblr that someone had the same question as me and they got an answer:
- Hook’s promo was of him in Gold’s shop, which obviously became relevant
- Ariel’s promo was her showing up at the dwarfs lunch which did actually happen

Yea, with Hook’s arm that meant the he was going to SB; with Ariel she was too will be going to SB. As for the new witch I think it means the same thing.
So it looks like she can leave SB and have her magic with her unlike Regina could.
Still hoping this is Mal’s sister 🙂 Because this is why she had to cast to the curse to get to Emma as Emma wasn’t in FTL perhaps huh?

Dorothy is traditionally an orphan who lost her parents at a young age. Not saying they couldn’t do it so much as its a big leap. I could see Henry as a gender swapped Dorothy.
