I think the progression is more likely that Cursed Emma styles her hair, because she’s relaxed and has time for it. Then memory restored Emma is back to looking a little frayed because you know, no time to play around with a hot iron when there’s witches and curses and catastrophes to fight.
I’m not sure we can know for sure if she’s changed locations in between. Anyone have the BTS shots of her shooting with Mystery Man? I want to compare her hair there.

She’s not moving the red stuff, it’s blood falling in a liquid. It’s science.

He’s a big guy. But the camera angle and the focus on RH make him diminished right then and there. He has the right hair for Little John (and not Rumple at all)

I’m not convinced she’s in SB already at that point though in the coat, as I think she’s got the leather jacket on by the time she gets to SB to break the curse.

Honestly, I think the hair in all the pics apart from the one with the white wall behind her, (which is probably back in SB because it looks like the top she’s wearing under the jacket is probably the same one as in the scene where Regina’s throwing something, and that’s in Regina’s office in SB. Also, in the clip of Belle asking who cursed them, the wall in the background is white, so I think she’s in the same room as Emma, and possibly even talking to her), is just a case of when someone is outside it’s harder to keep their hair perfectly styled. The scene where she’s holding the thing, you can see the curve of the collar of her NYC coat, which is totally different to her leather jacket.that person also has his sword out pointing down.
I have no idea where you’re seeing a sword in that pic.
