In the first shot she has her cell phone–so my guess is that Hook or Belle have called to tell her that Neal just burst into Gold’s shop
But why would she look so sad if she’d just found that out? I know her reaction to finding out Neal was alive in 3×6 wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, but here she’s visibly crying and forlorn. It reminds me of 2×21 when Neal fell through the portal and Emma thought she’d lost him.
But we know they meet each other in the woods at some point. And then there is something that happens while Emma is still with him.

For all we know this could be a scene that never makes it into the show. Or it could be Emma being comforted by her mother at the very beginning of the episode because she still hasn’t heard any news of Neal.
I trust nothing I see or hear anymore, whether from official or unofficial sources, including A and E themselves. The only thing I trust is the show AFTER I have watched it.

And in other news, @Heather1275 did come up with a pretty plausible theory: in the Canadian promo, Henry is very angry at Emma for lying to him and he wants to go back to NYC. It could be that Emma is really upset over that–she *hates* lying to Henry. Remember at the end of S2 she promised she’d never do it again

The big question I have is-why does Charming look like he is suspecting the WW to pop out?
Maybe Emma and Charming thought Snow was in danger and ran over to the apartment to make sure she was safe?
