We did. It’s here, from the promo:

She knows the legend says water harms her but it is wrong, water is her strength or something. So she stages that to laugh at them.
I could totally see her doing that to ensure they don’t suspect her. Sneaky Witch is sneaky.

conversely, I think they do succeed. It looks like the symbol is caving in. It looks like the ground is opening up, possibly to spit Rumpel out. In the promo we have a brief flash of Rumpel in Dark One form, kneading on the ground surrounded by torches.

From the FB page today. I think Wicked is the perfect name to describe this lady. She’s basically threatening Snow with kindness, or kindly threatening her. Either way, it’s very creepy and totally wicked.

Hmm. I don’t know if anyone else believes this, but here goes a crazy theory. I’ve heard that the seal may be the River Styx, and I believe it. I think the seal itself fills up with water, and that becomes a portal to the underworld. However, here’s where the crazy comes in:
I believe that Rumpel was down there, but never actually died. The Dark One obviously can’t kill himself, but why is that? I think that the dagger has a fail-safe that transports the user to the underworld until another person is smart (or dumb) enough to seek it’s power again. This starts the circle of Dark Ones over.
So, my theory is that not only does the Dark One’s curse originate from the Underworld (or something else in Greek mythology), but that Rumpel, in his mortal body, was down there…completely alive. When I saw him kneeling in the snow in the promo, he did not look like wherever he came from was pleasant. It could have even contributed to his madness (though, I think that the dagger controlling him also causes his insanity).
That would mean that the laws of Once wouldn’t be broken, and dead would still be dead.
Who knows, Rumpel may have even met some of his victims down there. *shiver*
