It’s such a shame Blackbeard isn’t hook’s dad. They look related.
poor hook . All the ladies like to have him at knifepoint — Emma, tink and now Ariel. At least they usually become his friends.
Keeper of Hook and Emma's smoldering first kiss, a certain Pirate's sauciness, the Evil Queen's snarkiness, Grumpy's gruffness and a drop of true love to make it all go down smooth.
So, the real story is Ariel and Hook. Blackbeard is just a cool character thrown in the mix to set the stage. I like it ALOT.

Also, agreed with sweetgrass, can’t believe they’re not making Blackbeard his father. The actors look related already and then put them in costume and it makes them look SO related it’s almost distracting.
Wow truck load of pics there. I love Ariel’s outfit. She’s so cute with that thing in her hands ready to strike. And here I was worried Hook might not be nice to her lol. I should be worried for Hook instead, girl’s on a mission.
As for Blackbeard’s threads, I think he looks closer to the traditional Hook than Hook does, which is kinda funny.
Seems we’re in for a BlackHook Showdown… (Please don’t tell me Blackbeard is Hook’s third cousin on his mother’s side that was twice removed…I’d much prefer him to be his Uncle!

besides jack sparow, blackbeard looks like the canon/cartoon captain hook. red coat, hat, long curly black hair and a little beard.
Agreed, Blackbeard’s costume is exactly what I’d have expected their riff on the Disney Hook costume to be, with a dash of Jack Sparrow as a nod to PoTC. Not that I don’t appreciate Hook’s black coat, but it would have been great to have seen HIM in this Blackbeard costume.
I initially didn’t see why they cast someone that viewers would look at and see ‘Dad’…but now I think Blackbeard is meant to show what Hook will become if he does manage to return to his old life. Their fight/his stealing the JR, is maybe the catalyst that makes Hook realize you can’t go back, no matter how much you think you want to. Hence the casting of someone who looks so similar to Colin, dressed similarly, only rougher, meaner, more vicious. Hook is looking at BB and seeing his own future.
