Sometimes with them there’s multiple meanings to things. I do think the most obvious reference here is the slippers–and I like that find Grimmstar about the Ugu character. Perhaps just as we met Jefferson, who once made a magic hat to travel realms (or did he?) –we might meet the person who made the shoes, and that could be Glinda, or someone else. I was speculating wildly in chat, what if Glinda is Grace’s mother (Jefferson’s partner who was ‘lost” somehow?). It could be done without Jefferson necessarily needing to appear, if it were *her* side of things–and it seemed like Jefferson and some kind of falling out with Rumple, which he would if he refused to go searching in different worlds anymore because of Grace.
Interesting.

Considering the big, big showdown is in It’s Not Easy Being Green…I think 3×17 and 3×18 will be dealing with the aftermath of those events and the Wicked Witch of The West will no longer pose as the big threat. I think there’s some redemption coming for the Wicked Witch of the West(that’s if she has a good enough backstory….like Cora abandoning her) and I think that Regina could possibly help the WWW become better(that’s what big sisters do).
So around this time, just when things are becoming a little stable in SB…Glinda appears with the “trouble in Oz” news. Glinda and WWW’s relationship could be on “balanced” terms…neither good or bad. But Glinda could warn the WWW that the WWE is back, and ready to rumble. The Wicked Witch of The East goal could be to become the most powerful sorceress that ever lived…but since we know Regina holds that title…I can see the Wicked Witch of the East wanting to destroy the Wicked Witch of the West and Regina…
The reason I say all of this is because that usually around this time in the season, 3×19 could previews the new villain for Season 4, and what other best villain than the one villain whose supposed to be dead, but has returned to life with a vengeance, The Wicked Witch of the East…

Eva had ruby slippers on when she was buried. So the question becomes are they allowed to use *any* sort of red shoe as the ruby slipper?

I’m totally cool with Glinda being Snow White’s grandmother…but there’s also the age thing because she’s gonna be like 28! But long as I can see the epic moment where evil and wicked unite to bring down the mega wicked witch of the east

The only way she could be Snow’s Grandmother is if we only saw Glinda in the far far far past. But then how would that work with Wicked?

She is a witch. I ‘m sure there could be an explanation for her youthful appearance. Rumple is 300 & Neal & Hook are close to that.

If WickedSisters proves true, I’ve had it in my head that Regina would potentially be filling the WWE role, considering in the movie, WWW refers to WWE as having been her sister.
I’ve liked the idea of Snow’s family having a tie to Oz for a while now, and considering we’re getting Eva in 318, maybe they’re planning to work that in in 319. Eva was said to be “from the northern kingdom” and the land of Ev (where the royals all have names starting with “Ev”) in the Oziverse is described as…
The Land of Ev is a fairyland which lies across the Deadly Desert from the Land of Oz. It is bordered by the Kingdom of Ix in the east and the Dominions of the Nome King in the south. The Nonestic Ocean lies to the west of Ev.
…so you could kinda say that it’s a “northern kingdom”, I guess.
Anyway, it’s Eva’s “slippers” that looked so much like the original illustration of the silver shoes in the book that has had me wanting a connection there. Maybe Glinda wanted the slippers out of Oz, so she had them sent to the land of Ev and Eva’s family guarded them, but then after her death they ended up back in Oz for Dorothy to inevitably use them.
The fact that this was written by Eddy & Adam indicates that something major is going to happen.
