I think it’s very interesting that people on both sides of the ships are saying they are tired of the triangle. I really hope A and E recognzie that while it might create TV drama it’s beginning to weigh on people a bit too much.
So I was doing my rewatch last night and I have a question. The Blue Fairy, after the dwareves hacked open a rock said, “fairy dust runs through the whole town, you just need to open a vein.”
Um since when?? If Fairy runs throughout and all you need to do is open a vein then why did it take so many episode to find diamonds in S2? Why couldn’t Blue just have them open a pocket? Continuity or Sneaky Fairy?

“It runs through the walls. We just need to open up a vein and that’ll carry the magic through town.” I just took it to mean that diamonds run through the walls of the mines, which make up a significant area under the town, so once they’d exposed a patch to get the magic in, it’d spread.
She did look very…concerned when everyone was discussing what had to be done though. Wonder what was really running through her mind.

Ariel. She’s just so funny and bright.
Belle finally being an actual thing in this season. I also loved the slightly lusty look she was giving Pandora’s Box. Hint of power hungry, loose Lacey still lingering in her?
Belle and Ariel have girl power. Yaaaaay!
Hook seemed sincere. I first did not like Hook at all when he was introduced. He just seemed like the average “womanizing” character put in there for fan service, but now he seems at least like he is becoming an actual person. It’s interesting. I like it.
Rumpel taunting Regina about her significant lack of booty as of late. I dunno. I’m just terrible, I guess.
The Darling Boys are the outsiders. Nice twist.
Dwarves are cool. Like fezzes.
Felix. The way that he spoke and acted was really annoying at first, but in short scenes with little dialogue, he’s actually a pleasantly creepy henchmen to have around. I’m starting to like him more and more, really. I now look forward to him.
Dark Hollow is a pretty scary place. I enjoy that. When A and E were talking about this season, I was expecting something a bit grittier and mind manipulating. They did an awesome job of surprising me with the darkness of the tone the first few epsiodes, but hadn’t really delivered with that the last few episodes, (choosing to go back to the standard season 2 formatting) until Emma and the other two idiots went to Dark Hollow…Speaking of–
Least Favorite Moments:
I hate the love triangle. I don’t think it’s necessary here, especially if the life of the child of two of the people having this love triangle is in danger. They nearly sabotage the entire plan by being idiots so–
Hook and Neal being jealous children and nearly getting themselves killed for stupid reasons- is my second on the least he should have had more respect for the groups goals and worried more about finding his child than his relationship status. Speaking of (again)–
Neal still forgets that Tamara existed. Yes, she was not a “good guy”, but she showed that she had goodness in her heart, a want to protect Henry, an actual past and true remorse. Also, she was Neal’s Fiancee. He was going to marry her, and yet there has been no mention of her, no hint of sadness at her betrayal. Nothing. That really ruins this whole true love fight with Hook nonsense even more, because every time Neal has a “touching” moment with Emma, I am thinking: You just run through chicks like nothing don’t you? It’s fairly agitating. Greg and Tamara were kind of cool characters who presented an interesting idea of how our world views magic, but were given no point and really didn’t deserve to die with little (Greg) or no (Tamara) exploration of why they were even there in the first place.
Nitpick:
Wendy is not dirty. This is a nitpick, but it has been happening since season 2. This show is sometimes afraid to muck people up or make them look less than impeccable even when they are obviously supposed to. I am talking about Wendy (in this episode specifically). She has been imprisoned and yet looks as if she just came from the salon. It is an extreme nitpick, I know, but seeing Wendy come out of the cage, looking perfectly fine as if she just decided a few minutes ago take a nap in there is slightly annoying. Maybe Pan took care of her, but I honestly doubt it. So, for now, it’s a nitpick. You have been living in the wilderness for a century, imprisoned by a childish overlord who has little to no conscience. Look like it.

- Rumple/Regina sassy interaction (I think I miss that as much as Rumbelle)
- Ariel’s inquisitiveness
- Rumple’s “I love you” message for Belle via Ariel
Dislike:
- CaptainSwanFire triangle (despise with a passion)
- Belle being restrained (Please Once writers. Can we have an episode she isn’t tortured?)
- Hook’s ultimatum

Wendy’s room. I found myself singing “let’s be quiet as a mouse and build a lovely little house for Wendy”. 🙂 Until of course they crated her back up again. Urrrgggg!!!!
Ariel is just so much fun to watch! Sweet, funny yet sassy. I’d like to see her and granny run lines off each other. 🙂
Belle, we get to see her slowly build herself back up to the brave girl she was when we first met her. Nice to see her finally shaking off that lack of confidence & vulnerability that had taken its toll from years spent in that dungeon.
Grumply/Leroy. Missed him and so happy to see him again. 🙂
Dislikes:
Hook, I’m sick of the writers constantly trying to build him up. He sold Bae off to Pan so Pan would leave him and his pirates alone and now he is putting a knife in Bae’s back trying to win over Emma. Not cool dude!
Henry being so gullible. In another small group, we are calling this “The Heart of the Most Gullible Believer”. Which really begs the question: If Henry truly does have the heart of the TRUEST believer, then why does he believe in Pan’s lies and not the TRUTH?
Michael and John. Really? I mean REALLY? Are we suppose to believe that these bumbling fools could have convinced Tamara and Greg that they were the home office and were old and mature enough to follow? This home office story is just so weak. To say that Pan is the home office just doesn’t explain it at all.
Neal, love him but really disappointed in how they are writing for him. We all fell in love with Bae. He was our hero. We anxiously awaited to find out his fate. I remember when we all “Oohed and Awed” over seeing him walk through Central Park with Lou Reed’s Charley Girl playing in the background. How many of us shouted out “Hello Bae!” and were so thrilled to so him! It’s like they’ve water down his scripts to look weak and wishy/washy next to Hook. They seem to be writing for the fangirls and not telling “their story” at all.
RG said it best about the fairy dust. The town was all up in arms when Rumple & Reggie took it to stop Cora & Hook from entering SB, back in S2. Now it’s everywhere?! Continuity is slipping and the writing is getting sloppy.

Yea, I don’t bet this I thought Regina and Gold took all the dust. 🙁
Also, Neal comment did you get that sword out of my cave too 🙁

It’s because Hook is a pirate and pirates are thieves. 🙁

November 11, 2013 at 8:28 pm #223073angiebelleParticipantReally loved this episode! (Although, admittedly, I was far more into Belle’s story than what was going on in Neverland…)
Belle was just perfect and all the RumBelle moments were swoon worthy. I love how human Belle was here…starting to break down a bit after all she’s been through- her lack of belief in herself, how distraught and depressed she was initially after Rumple left, her desire to feel needed. Ariel and Belle as a team= more please! They were like super sleuths tracking clues. Belle is ridiculously intelligent! Loved the contrast between Ariel’s bubbly optimism and Belle’s world weariness.
It was so wonderful to see Rumple truly believe in Belle and in their love- and to share the way he feels about her with others. That’s huge for him!
Hooray for some real heart to heart between Snow and Charming- S3 has been such a dream with character development as opposed to S2.
Wow- you guys totally called it with “Keychain” and “Glasses” being the Darling brothers! I never would have picked up on that on my own.
Dislikes? Yup- the love triangle. I do not like love triangles- they make characters behave very foolishly! Thank goodness Emma put them in their place and reminded them of their goal. I do love how Emma thought to do magic on her own.
