Participantstarting with the bad: – The CaptainFireSwan love triangle and particular Neal and Hook squabbling in the Dark Hollow. Really? Dear writers, do you really want to feed some “boys are boys and stupid lovesick males on steroids” stereotypes?
Maybe Neverland does more than just stop people from ageing; it could be turning back the clock. First it affects the mind, then (if they stay long enough) the body. I think this fits with the hints that Pan is Rumpel’s father; Pan certainly knows Rumpel from way back, but to me their conversations don’t sound at all like sibling talk.

ParticipantMy least favorite moment was when Snow and Charming were discussing about Chaming lying to her. I mean: really!? She was so selfish. I wanted to yell: “it’s not just about you, Snow! You can’t think about how your daughter would react about loosing Charming?” And then… the worst part: Charming agreed with her. It was just too infuriating.
I have two favorites moments:
1. When Belle casted the cloaking spell: it was so amazing seeing Belle and the dwarves. And it was the first interaction between Belle and Grumpy after the curse;
2. All scene in Gold’s shop: especially the interaction between Arial and Belle. It was so great seeing Belle so pessimist, loosing her self-reliance, and Ariel just giving it back to her and being optimist for her. The two of them are quite a duo!

“Ariel” is an angel’s name, after all.

ParticipantI didn’t notice this until someone else pointed it out on another board. But there is CF moment. When the shadows attack, hook positions himself to protect neal. Look at the 12 second mark here http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-toe6slhuk4
i really want to see meaningful hook Neal scenes.
Keeper of Hook and Emma's smoldering first kiss, a certain Pirate's sauciness, the Evil Queen's snarkiness, Grumpy's gruffness and a drop of true love to make it all go down smooth.

ParticipantThis is anther episode that I am not a fan of.
I did like Belle and Ariel working together–it worked well. It was cute and fun and smart.
I enjoyed the snowing scenes–Snow White had every right to be angry at Charming, but I’m also glad it wasn’t dragged out too long. It was resolved well enough, yet it was emotional, and both Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas played off each other well.
It was great to see Emma use magic and trap the shadow–I feel like this season is finally letting her shine in the series. I hope we get more of her the rest of the season.
Some of my problems with this episode is the following–
1). Emilie de Ravin is not (in my opinion) the strongest actress on the show. I find that she overacts in many of her scenes and it just seems overly forced. Her being the focus of the show has its problems due to her acting.
2). Belle not eating is kinda depressing.
3). Both Hook and Neal acting like brats–it felt out of character for both of them. It was annoying to watch, though I am glad that it only stayed for on episode. Better one than more.

I completely disagree. I think EdR is one of the strongest actresses on the show and it’s a shame she hasn’t been given more material to work with. Sometimes the actors are given terrible lines that they have to do the best they can with. EdR had to change from Lacey to Belle and from Amnesia Belle to Lacey and you could tell the exact moment when Belle stopped and Lacey began and vice versa.
All magic comes with a price!

I absolutely agree PoM. You can see all of Belle’s emotions she wants to convey to the audience in her facial expressions and gestures. And it’s similar with GG. I’ve seen her in quite a few movies and she really is a good actress but sometimes when I watch her as Snow/MM I cringe, especially in the second half of season 2.
Whenever EdR or GG have good stories and material to work with, they are amazing and EdR hasn’t had a decent story since Lacey…

ParticipantI’ve felt this way about Emilie de Ravin is since she made her debut in season 1–I just find that she tries too hard in her expressions.
I’m not saying she is a bad actress, but I don’t think she is one of the strongest in the show. She overacts a lot in he scenes that she is in. It doesn’t quite seems natural when she acts on scene–it is sort of like I’m watching someone act out a character.
