3×08 “Think Lovely Thoughts” — FAVORITE AND LEAST FAVORITE MOMENTS
Last year AFTER THE SHOW EPISODE was completed, I always enjoyed coming to the forum to read this thread and see what everyone thought about the show. There were some lively discussions here…
So what ARE your favorite and least favorite moments …

So many amazing things.
First off, Rumple’s backstory is just so…TRAGIC. And it makes his abandoment of Bae even worse.
Still can’t process.

1) All of the flashback scenes. Poor Rumple 🙁
2) Neal realizing Rumple was telling the truth.
3) Rumple listening to Neal and handing over the box/not using magic.
4) Surprisingly, the confrontation b/w PP and Rumple at Skull Rock. I thought I’d be weirded out by a boy being Rumple’s father but it was surprisingly touching and worked. I was kind of hoping Neal and the others would overhear them and find out who PP really is.
I liked and disliked Rumple getting put in the box – I liked it cause it was unexpected but disliked it cause…..well, poor Rumple lol. His father really doesn’t care.
Can’t say I really disliked anything. Great episode!
I LOVED seeing Rumple as a boy! He was so sweet and it was heartbreaking to witness what his father did to him. I agree with RG that it makes his abandonment of Bae worse. I wonder if Peter Pan was being sincere at Skull Rock when he told Rumple that they could be together…probably not. Even if he was sincere, Rumple definitely was NOT having it. And it’s pretty obvious that Peter Pan is crazy, so I wouldn’t want to be with him either.
Anyway, on a lighter note I really enjoyed the jokes about Hook and Rumple’s “good looks.” Made me laugh and sort of eased the tension of this episode a bit.
The Bae and Wendy reunion was great!
There was a moment with Emma and Charming that was also really sweet!
The one thing that stands out to me that I didn’t like, is that Neal was so quick to distrust Rumple and everyone just jumped on board with it. I totally get it, because Rumple isn’t the most trustworthy. BUT I feel like Neal should have given him the benefit of the doubt because Rumple does love him and wants to help save Henry.
I also didn’t particularly care for Rumple’s dad, but we’re not really supposed to so…yeah.
Overall, great episode!

And Neal realized it at the end of the end of the episode. This Papa was telling the truth. I think Neal is going to be the one to let Rumple out of the Box. He’ll break the cycle of mistrust and abandonment.

Least: Like others, two weeks from today. Also, really could have cared less about the whole Henry thing. PP and Rumple stole the episode.
Favorite line: “I’m not walking in there with nothing but my good looks”. You go Rumple. 😉

I hope so – but how will they know he’s in the Box? Will they just go “Rumple’s disappeared and that box is just sitting there…. oh. Cr*p. He must be in there!”

Least favourite: nothing. Well, apart from Malcolm’s general douchebaggery but that is needed for the tragic state of Rumple’s life.
Epic episode is epic.
