Run Felix Run!
[adrotate group="5"]All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixDecember 13, 2013 at 2:53 pm #230330SlurpeezParticipantI am confused.
Why can they use the scroll? What exactly is the scroll going to do?The first time the cruse was created, Rumple put a drop of the magic potion created from Snow and Charming’s true love on the actual parchment upon which the spell was written, which is why Emma was the savior. Yet, it seems the curse can only now be altered by the person who last used the curse, and that person is Regina. Regina might be able to somehow actually alter the scroll upon which the curse is written to create some sort of new safety valve, similar to the one Rumple included last time.

That’s what I thought Rumple was saying but here’s my question: Regina didn’t have to do anything WITH the scroll to cast the curse right?. Didn’t HenPan just drop the thing down the well? Isn’t that the great irony here? Why does he have to destroy the scroll to cast a curse but Regina just threw things in a fire, but not the scroll
And is anyone else really worried about Felix? Cause he hands Pan a bag of ingrediants and I didn’t see a heart.

"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"December 13, 2013 at 3:04 pm #230337PriceofMagicParticipantI’m worried about Felix. I don’t want him to die!
HenryPan is casting the curse yet we know Pan is back in his original body in the first sneak peek with the curse cast.
In the original curse, Regina had to go to Rumple to find out that she needed the heart of the thing she loved most because the horse’s heart didn’t work. Is it possible the scroll only says a heart is required without specifying what kind of heart?

That’s possible. Regina does seem to think that only a heart will do:
Evil Queen: Deal. What must I do to enact this curse?
Rumpelstiltskin: You need to sacrifice a heart.
Evil Queen: I sacrificed my prized steed.
Rumpelstiltskin: A horse? This is the curse to end all curses. You think a horse is going to do? Great power requires great sacrifice. The heart you need must come from something far more precious.
Evil Queen: Tell me what will suffice.
Rumpelstiltskin: The heart of the thing you love most.

I couldn’t tell if HenryPan actually dropped the scroll down the well or if he dropped an ingredient. If he didn’t actually drop the scroll, then there is still a chance that Regina could alter it. Plus, we saw the spoiler images for 3×11 of Peter Pan (aka Robbie Kay) holding what appears to be the scroll. So, I think that HenryPan drops the necessary ingredients down the well which are required to unleash the curse, but that he holds onto the parchment up on which the spell is actually written. Then Rumple or Regina finds a way to swap back PP into his own body, and then Regina gets ahold of the scroll in time to add a safety valve just in the nick of time as the curse once again envelops the town.
And is anyone else really worried about Felix? Cause he hands Pan a bag of ingrediants and I didn’t see a heart.
Yup. Bye, bye Felix!

December 13, 2013 at 3:10 pm #230343storytellerParticipantConvenient that Rumple just remembered that Regina can stop the curse. I’ll be interested to see how that plays out. I think we’ll get a glimpse of potentially just how powerful Regina is.

Convenient or rather plot device-y? I don’t think this is a case of “Rumple neglects to tell everyone information!” It feels more like A and E going, “how can they come together and stop the curse? Oh I know…the scroll! Rumple has more information!” This feels a little black diamond of S2 which always felt like a hail Mary to me. They needed something that would destroy SB so they came up with this failsafe that no one had ever heard of before and had never been mentioned before. This feels rather like that.

Clarification, phrase above was intended to be sardonic
