Yes, perhaps because they don’t remember the lost year, they don’t know why Belle and Neal aren’t in town. Don’t remember them going off, so to them, they are missing.

Right, which I think shows that at some point Neal is going to go off on his own after Belle is set in her task to find Rumple.
He helps her out, gets what he needs to find Henry/Emma and then they go their separate ways, but then Neal might be picked up by Zelena.

He splits up from Rumple in Neverland, he gets kidnapped by Pan and the Lost boys. He splits up from Belle, he gets kidnapped by Zelena. When will Neal learn that his best chance is to stick together as part of a group?

Zelena uses the needle to prick herself, and mix it with Regina’s blood!I don’t doubt the potency of blood magic from two powerful witches, but what does Zelena intend to do with this potion? Is the potion part of casting the curse or is it for something else?

He splits up from Belle, he gets kidnapped by Zelena. When will Neal learn that his best chance is to stick together as part of a group?
We don’t actually know yet that Neal and Belle split up since it sounds like they go on an adventure together. Perhaps Zelena then comes upon a them; Neal tells Belle to make a run for it and she escapes but he gets captured. Now Belle has been cursed to forget all of it.

I’ve been thinking about the title for this episode. Witch Hunt might mean an actual hunt for Wicked in the EF of a year ago, but it might also mean the act of unfairly looking for and punishing people who are accused of having opinions that are believed to be dangerous or evil–in other words, trying to figure out who cursed everyone by placing blame on the usual suspects (Regina) instead of noticing the real evil doer, Zelena
