I liked most of this episode it reminded me why I watch this series, basically Regina and Rumple, and now Robin because Robin and Regina are the hottest couple in this series. Any who, it made up, at least a little, for the big mess last week was.
Favorite moments:
-Regina and Tinkerbell talking like school girls about Robin. So cute.-Seeing young Regina being taught by Rumple through the wizards mirror, both at the beginning of the episode and at the end. Was it just me or did Regina kind of look like Dorothy from the movie with her hair parted like ponytails and wearing blue.
-Rumple’s sassyness and comments always the best.
-Regina and Robin in the woods, both scenes, she literally gave him her heart *squealing noises.
-Regina’s sassyness, the Wicked Witch received both a good slap and a sassy remark.
-hearing from Rumple that he would choose Regina all over again if given the choice!
Least favorite moments:
The Wicked Witch’s whining. I heard they wanted us to feel sorry for her in this episode but sorry didn’t happen.

I understand Emma’s walls of emotion built of steel this episode. She’s more closed off than ever.
Loved Regina showing vulnerability to Robin as she realized the letter was about Zelena, and not about her as she had always believed. And her realizing that her sister was stronger than she was. I also loved. Regina learning something from her sister. She really never appreciated the things that were right in front of her. I hope she explores that with her relationships, and not just with Robin, cuz she was mean snarky to Granny for no reason.
Belle, being unafraid, and going to Rumple. I love her tenacity. She will never give up.
I loved Hook and Henry together. I don’t ship, I just loved that he took the time to be with Henry. I think he did it out of respect for Bae. It was cathartic to both Hook and Henry. But I also liked the old Henry coming back. Inquisitive Henry. How can you be the same age as my Dad? It’s like he’s collecting pieces of a puzzle. But he doesn’t know what the puzzles supposed to look like. I understand why the writers haven’t given him te book yet. He needs to collect a few more pieces before the book will make sense to him.
I loved Regina and Zelena together. With each sentence they stepped closer and closer into each other’s space. I loved their battle, in that Regina, even though she had concluded she would lose, never backed down. She stood toe toe with her sister, lost the magic battle, but then won the war of words. Regina kept her cool, while Zelena totally lost it in the end.
Zelenas back story was told quickly, maybe too quickly, but we got the gyst of it, and it was a good story.
It’s actually Cora’s story that raises questions. Pretty suspicious that she put the basket down and it’s taken to Oz in a tornado. Did Cora raise the winds and create the tornado? She didn’t have magic back then, soo, who helped her? And, also, if Cora had no magic back then, how was Zelena born magical? Baby Zelena threw that tree using a magical wave of her fingers.
April 7, 2014 at 1:13 am #259703RumplesGirlKeymasterI just rewatched. I do place it above the Tower and Quiet Minds.
It wasn’t overly horrible the second time around; for me it’s exactly what I thought it would be and that’s an issue. The biggest issue I have is the absolute repetitiveness that ONCE is doing. At one point Zelena actually says, “We’re are doing it all over again,” and I thought, well that’s apt. Because that IS what we’re doing: from the new curse that sent them all to SB again, to a Cora look alike harboring love feelings for Rumple and now another potential reset button.
Nothing shocked me. And maybe it’s the spoilers but maybe it’s not. I wasn’t surprised that Zelena was turning green with envy. I wasn’t surprised that Walsh was the Wizard. I wasn’t surprised that Zelena has feelings for Rumple. I wasn’t surprised that Zelena’s major back story is “parent issues” coupled with feelings of jealousy and rage and abandonment. Try a new flavor, OUAT.
And I really agree with something Nonnie said on page one. I know how this will play out: our heroes will go through trials and never have the upper hand and it will feel like Wicked is winning until 322 when this plucky band of misfits somehow come together at the 11th hour and save the town and the family.
Every season so far has had two things at the end
1) Memories restored (S1 = everyone in SB; S2 = Belle and Sneezy; S3B = It’ll be Henry)
2) The almost destruction of SB (S1 = magic engulfs town; S2 = The Failsafe; S3 = Pan’s Curse and Regina’s counter Curse)
I’m sure S3B will be no different and I can’t help but feel like that’s problematic.
"He was a lot of things to me" "The only conclusion was love"April 7, 2014 at 2:21 am #259735once_dudeParticipantwow real mixed bag of like/hate. yes i can admit this show can be formulaic.
i knew walsh was the wizard just cause the voice but my mom was surprised lol)
favs:
zeleena dn rumple scenes i quoted the line about magic is about feelingand the thing you love most reference lol
the storybrooke side was lukewarm for me i wish they had said speeches at the funeral
i liked regina giving robin her heart and was tempted to break into the song “dont go breakin my heart”
this was much better than prev two so maybe i rate it higher in my mind than it ought to be rated but over all ti was great in my opinion 4/5 hearts
Magic always comes with a price, so I pay with visa.
April 7, 2014 at 2:33 am #259738PheeParticipantI both liked and didn’t like the OQ stuff. I liked their conversations, I like seeing Regina have someone she can honestly talk to, I like that she literally gave him her heart, but I didn’t like how soon it happened after she’d discovered who he is. They’ve been saying that it will be hard for Regina to open up and let someone new in, and yet here she is 24 hours later, trusting him with her heart. I know she knows they’re destined, and I do like that aspect of their story, so maybe that’s how she’s justifying her actions, because she knows that destiny ensures that she can trust him, but I’m just not sure that I buy that she’d concede to trusting him that much so quickly, tattoo and pixie dust or no.

– Regina and Robin, their scenes vaguely reminded me of how the show used to be. They talk here and they share some insight into their own characters, with each other and with us. I saw a trace of the old Regina, the one before Daniel and that made me feel reminiscent of the good old days.
– I gotta admit, the Emerald city looked quite beautiful. Very rich, is the way I would describe it. I liked it.
– Rebecca Mader’s performance. That fury was palpable.
Disliked:
– Well it’s not a very heavy dislike, but green with envy? That’s it? They sorta made it out to be this whole big thing. That there was more to it than we thought, but it really isn’t. It was exactly what we thought, nothing more nothing less.
– The Wizard turned into a flying monkey. Again, I just assumed there was more to it.
– Not another curse, not another curse, please! Calling it a second chance does not change the fact that lives are gonna be altered once again and I’m guessing this new cur… “second chance”, is gonna be a life without Regina, or at least one where Rumple chose Zelena instead. So that would mean we’re gonna watch season one all over again, but with Zelena as the caster of the curse??
On the fence:
– Hook and Henry, it’s too soon people! Too soon! Yet at the same time, it was good to see Hook express some real emotions for once.
– Zelena in love with Rumple, it’s icky and weird (and didn’t we already do this with Cora?), but I liked Rumple’s lines ‘I’m a perceptive sort’ and ‘It’s okay, I have that effect on women’.

I don’t think it’s too soon. I’d rather not have her be like Emma and still hold on to her inability to deal with emotions. Regina’s had quite a journey before all this and I feel that she’s finally starting to realize that maybe she should stop being so afraid of happiness. She’s cautiously allowing herself to take a leap of faith with this guy. The fact that she knows about the soul mates thing indeed helps her let go of her fears enough to go for it. I think we witnessed some character development here.

Favourites
The RumBelle scene with the hand hold- These characters are amazing.
The look Belle gave Zelena at the fight- Zelena isn’t going to get away with what she’s done to Rumple
Hook- Hook was great this episode. Loved the Hook/Henry scene, reminds me of lion king
Regina beating Zelena with snark/ Rumple snarking Zelena- Zelena is going down!
Rumple’s line “I have that affect on women”- A nod to the fans perhaps? though does contradict his line in Skin Deep “no one could ever love me”
Zelena’s witch costume- it looks nice
Hook not knowing what a GPS is- Bless him
Zelena being green with envy- Guessed that ages ago though does beg the question, if Zelena feels depressed, does she turn blue?
Least favourite
Belle’s outfit this episode- I prefer her other outfits.
Rumple revealing his past again to another Mills woman- It seems odd that Belle has to really coax him to open up about his past whereas he freely tells Cora and Zelena about it. Perhaps he’d learned to keep his mouth shut by the time Belle appeared?
Baby Zelena using magic- No young baby is that co-ordinated. That scene was a real suspension of disbelief one.
Zelena throwing a hissy fit after trying to play wife to Rumple- He gave a valid reason why she couldn’t cast the curse (Because he was the thing she loved most) but at least the kiss in 318 now makes sense.
All magic comes with a price!
Keeper of FelixApril 7, 2014 at 1:39 pm #259916GrimmsisterParticipantI really do like the way they repeat certain Things. like everything Z is doing shows back to what Regina did in the past. But I agree they have done that thing quite alot on this show.. I feel like they are practicing, maybe someday they will be able to pull this thing of to perfection, but perhaps not before on a different show.
LOVES
I loved the streetfight, though it wasnt the spaghetti western that I had hoped for and it was not long enough. Having seen the spoiler I had pretty much seen it all. The Wild West?-Where was the glowering stares? and the solemn harmonica music? But I loved Regina showing up in the last minute to save the day 🙂 …The slap- GO REGIIINAAA! …and the flying through the clock Tower window. And then the missing Heart..phew!
I loved Regina trusting and giving her Heart to Robin “I never knew what was right in front of me…please take care of this”… lol ..AAAWWW!!! but also, perhabs it was a bit rash. Im now very scared she is not gonna have that Heart back in her chest at the end of this season.
I LOVED that old lizard-like Rumple was back. He is just SOOO Good when he is in the Dark One mode.. why dont they just keep him like that all the time already?? His line to Z when she admits to having a crush on him “Its okay I just seem to have that effect on woman”.. lol.. I Wonder if that was a nod to all us Rumple fans out here.
DISLIKES
Z’s reason for beeing green- I thought there would have been a better explaination.
But I think thats the only small dislike that I have 🙂
so Great episode!
