Poor Rumple, in a cage , kissing WWW to get the dagger. Well desperate times call for desperate measure I guess. Goodness knows how far I would go to get a all powerful dagger granting my freedom.
Buy anyway this episode was good. I felt the flashbacks were rushed but maybe I wasn’t paying attention I don’t know. Loved the Present day stuff with Snow and Regina. Emma learning magic, and BABY NAMES YAY!!!!!
So good episode. Yay

Belle calling Regina out and Regina sincerely apologising was my fave moment, (almost cheered when Belle called her out so emphatically). It was a much needed moment if they wanted to show those two interacting in a believable way from here on in. And it was a stark contrast to the scene where Belle called Hook out and he said “sorry?” with a question mark. Both scenes even happened in the same place, which just highlights the contrast between Hook and Regina’s sincerity levels for me. And Regina didn’t have an audience to see her doing it, it was just her and Belle alone, and she accepted responsibility for what she’d done because she knew that Belle deserved a genuine apology.
One thing I don’t understand is why Snow thinks Eva was dark/bratty for telling Cora’s secret. Cora really was lying to Leopold and really was pregnant with another man’s child. In Eva’s eyes, Cora had stolen her fiancee and was deceiving Leopold. I don’t understand why Snow is upset by that. I say that as a Regina fan. Now if Eva had made up that Cora was pregnant and framed her in someway it would be different. Am I missing something?
That bugged me too, which sucks because it distracted from what was otherwise a touching scene of Snow and Regina connecting, and I do enjoy seeing their relationship grow.
If I knew a guy who was gonna marry someone, and I found out that she was pregnant to some other guy, and hadn’t told her fiancee, I’d bloody well tell him. If I knew she was stealing from him, I’d bloody well tell him. Granted, starting gossip that spread through the whole castle like Eva did was a bratty way to do it, but the fact that she told Leo isn’t a bad thing IMO. It’s certainly not the same situation as Snow having told Cora about Daniel, because let’s be real, Cora already knew about Daniel, and she manipulated Snow to create a situation where she could put on a show and kill him. Eva was just looking out for Leo’s best interests so he didn’t marry the woman who was lying to and stealing from him.

Snow and Regina moments for the win.
Robin and Regina moments for the win.
Regina is slowly becoming my favourite character *gasp* never thought I would say that as I once despised her and said she would never change.
Magic always comes with a price, so I pay with visa.

I guess it helped being largely spoiler-free. The scenes between Zelena and Rumple had me on the edge of my seat.
Regina apologising to Belle was great as were the scenes between Snow and Regina.
And before I forget: Emma having fun with magic. I’d have loved to see Henry walk in on that!
For once I have very few complaints. I’m not sure why Snow ever leaves her magically warded appartment or why they thought it would be a good idea to have a highly pregnant woman be part of a terrifying seance. But those are just small nitpicks.

Sometimes the silliness of this show just gets to me, and it makes me sad, because I still love it so much.
List of silly stuff in this ep-
An apology erases all past mistakes (Im thinking of Regina here. After all the things she has done, like kill an entire village for instance. How crazy she was and out of touch with reality. And now she seems like she is the sanest, most kind person there? What did I miss? My fave character is Regina by the way)
Telling someones secret is just as bad as killing someone????
Flying hooded ghosts that jumps in to and possess people- so 80’s, couldn’t they have thought of a better visual way to do those scenes. Also too much like Charmed, that was a bad bad show..
Likes-
The Acting and the relations between the characters, especially Regina and Snow. And surprisingly also between Rumple and Z. I enjoyed that, but I had to try to forget the history between Regina and Snow to enjoy it, because it doesn’t make sense that they would act this way with each other, considering all the years of hate that they have experienced with each other. But as, an individual scene/scenes between a step-mother and daughter it was very beautiful and heartwarming.
And the poor cute little baby Z. I felt tears when Cora put her down in the middle of the woods and just left her there.

The Belle/Regina scene- I loved how Belle stood up for herself and refused to help Regina until Regina apologised. Also Regina calling Rumple “your Rumple” to Belle.
Jonathan saying Cora said yes to him several times in one night- I’m surprised they managed to get that past the censors on a family show. That’s certainly one for the adults that the kids wouldn’t get.
Regina saying “don’t ignore me mother”- It’s just funny to imagine ghost Cora sitting in the afterlife pretending not to hear. Also, if someone dies having their heart crushed, does that mean they can’t be contacted at all, because their heart doesn’t exist any more or does the “murderer” hand count as the murder weapon?
Rumple getting the heart from Robin- It was such a heartbreaking scene. Rumple genuinely didn’t want to hurt Roland. He didn’t want to be there at all but he was forced to.
Snow being a little bit creeped out by Whale saying she has a “strong placenta”
Least Favourite
Eva standing the other side of the gazebo thing and her maid coming up and saying loudly “YOUR CARRIAGE IS READY” whilst Eva whispers “I’m coming”. How did Cora not hear the maid?
No reference to Henry’s whereabouts in this episode- Who is looking after him since Zelena, the flying monkeys and an enslaved Rumple are roaming around free in Storybrooke.
The OutlawQueen kiss- It seemed a bit out of the blue and just tagged on for the sake of it. There has been nothing to show that those two characters were at that stage in their relationship.
The Rumple/Zelena kiss scene didn’t really bother me because it has similarities to Jasmine and Jafar in Aladdin. The kiss was a ploy to try and get the dagger. Rumple played on Zelena’s love for him and he would’ve succeeded to if the magic spell hadn’t stopped him from getting the dagger. Rumple had no intention of going all the way with Zelena. Zelena’s moaning was kind of funny. Either Rumple is just that good or Zelena’s learnt to fake it.

Snow had to be part of the séance because she was Cora’s “murderer”. I think SNow was apologising more for the way she killed Cora, using Regina as a tool, rather than actually killing her if that makes sense.

Keeper of FelixApril 21, 2014 at 8:50 am #262838ready_to_rumbelleParticipantThis was a pretty good episode. I especially liked it because it delivered on 2 levels:
On the one hand, it showed character growth. Regina’s apology to Belle was honest and shows how far Regina’s come. In S2 she wouldn’t even apologize even when she knew that she was wrong. Her conversation with Snow was, though overdue, very nice. It was good to see that these two not only finally acknowledge their past mistakes but also talk about it with each other. And Regina actually kissing Robin was a major decision for her to actively try to find happiness.
The second thing, I really liked was that by finding out Zelena’s plan, the plot moves on after the last episode didn’t help a lot in this aspect.
Nevertheless, there is one thing that really annoys me, though it’s nothing new… Why is everyone calling Snow Mary Margaret? I get, that Emma prefers Gold to Rumple since it must be weird for her and hat Charming is called David because that’s his real name, but no one calls Belle Lacey or Regina Mayor Mills.

YES. Regina calling her MM was just odd. I get that “they are both” but she’s Snow. Just because they moved locations doesn’t mean she’s cursed MM again. Just call her Snow!
