Another hint that PP is Rumple’s dad is the meaning of the name Malcolm. Malcolm is a reference to the play “Macbeth” by Shakespeare.
This was the name of four kings of Scotland starting in the 10th century, including Malcolm III, who became king after killing Macbeth, the usurper who had murdered his father. The character Malcolm in Shakespeare’s tragedy ‘Macbeth’ (1606) is based on him.

So, if Henry got to keep his heart, would he become immortal? Only if he stayed in NL, I guess? Or is it that Henry’s heart needs to be combined with some sorta Pan magic in order for the immortality to happen?
November 14, 2013 at 12:10 pm #223761RumplesGirlKeymasterI think we can trust Wendy the second time…because Rumple can tell when she’s lying and I bet Emma could figure it out too.
Agreed
I think it is interesting that Rumple says whatever Pan promised–he WILL go back on it. Sounds like he knows Pan is a liar and can never be trusted. Father or brother?!
Team Brothers until the bitter end

that's a great question. Is Henry himself immortal? And my other question: was Henry born with the heart of the truest believer or did he become that way through his actions. Evil isn't born, it's made. The same can be said for good, can't it?

Neal must’ve been devastated to learn that Wendy, John and Michael were captured by PP after he sacrificed himself to save them. Neal is going to make sure that no harm befalls Wendy or her brothers ever again. He’d do anything for them, just as he would for Henry.

Good question. I bet Henry would be the next “Pan” if he got to keep his heart and PP died, so long as Henry remained in NL.

Something tell me my Nealfire feels are going to be in overdrive this episode.

And maybe if Henry does become the next Pan, light and magic and hope are restored to NL forever.

I think it’s a combination of nature and nuture. PP said that it was not a coincidence that Henry is the product of dark and light magic. So, Henry’s lineage seems to be really important about why Henry’s heart is special, but I think that Henry had to believe in the dark curse for him to become the truest believer.

Not only believe in the dark curse, but believe that it could be broken. My favorite Henry moment is still right before he eats the turnover of S1 and tells Emma that he believes in her. It’s one thing to believe in the curse, it’s another to believe that it could be defeated. If Henry hadn’t believed so poewrfully in Emma then it never would have been broken.

I agree.
November 14, 2013 at 12:33 pm #223773RumplesGirlKeymasterLooking over what people have been saying in chat since the peek came out:
–Rumple will sacrifice his immortality by killing Pan with his own dagger and thus freeing Henry from having to sacrifice his heart. (Yup) (I buy it)–we have wondered for a long time what would happen if the Dark One stabbed someone with his dagger.
–“The boy will be your undoing” probably refers to Pan (but interestingly enough…refers to Pan by way of Henry)
–Most people seem to be getting on board Team DaddyPan
