Yes, very interesting! I wonder if Marylin Manson’s voice is the voice of Rumple’s shadow…not PP’s as I’d been assuming! I’ve no idea how Rumple would call back his shadow, since if he could, he probably would’ve done so in 3×4 when Neal wanted him to do so.
Maybe he could but he was still too hesitant before? Or maybe the box gives him control over the shadow(s). From the way they all react I think the only way he can prove he won’t be a danger to Henry is if he hands over the dagger (preferably to Neal lol). I doubt they’d just take his word for it (or Emma’s, really). I mean we know from the other sneak peak and the photos that he’s very much a part of the group for the rest of the episode so he must do something big to convince them.
I wouldn’t have guessed from the first sneak peek that they all already knew, especially with Regina defending him to Wendy.

Yes something happens between Rumple and the rest of the gang that allows them to trust him. I’d like to think it’s Emma and her superpower. But if the whole family is cool with Rumple being there, helping to rescue Wendy (he’s with Emma and Neal in the promo photos) and going after PP at Skull Rock then he somehow convinces them that he is trustworthy.

Oh I really like the idea of Rumple gaining their trust through flashback! Something like “You don’t know who you’re up against…” *Once Music Swells and scene cuts to little rumple with Pan (or with Malcom… i still like teambrothers even though all signals point to PapaPan).*
You know who’s going to bring them together? Gold.. He could easily lose his stuff there, but I’ll bet that he remains calm and talks them all down from their high horses – that HE is the reason why they remember, HELLO, that this is about HENRY, no one else. You know why he can do that? He doesn’t give a crap about any of them except Neal, and at this point what does he have to lose anyway by getting in all of their faces? He can do this and be calm – why? Because he has someone waiting for him in SB that he wants to get back to, someone who believes in him and loves him [….] everyone (not Neal, obviously). He’s had enough of their crap and he’s not going to take it anymore. He’s the only one who has any sense of perspective; look at them, a bunch of children trying to to play at being adults.
The Charmings talk about how he’s family – STOP, no more. Family is more than blood, family is a feeling. You can’t keep using family to get Gold to do what you want, almost trying to blackmail him, and then when it’s convenient……hey, he’s not family. Oh, David’s trying to control the DO moment still infuriates me. THAT is Prince Charming
Anyway, Gold is the one who had the idea about the box, Gold is the one who knew Belle could get it done, HE is the one who will end up being the real hero, whether in NL or SB or both.I agree Betsy, especially about Snowing using the family thing against him when it suits them. I think Emma is the most genuine towards Rumple out of the Charmings though.
