Okay, I haven’t done this in a while but I’ll list my likes and dislikes:
Likes:
–The chocolate cake at Granny’s. I really like chocolate cake.
–I admit I liked Regina’s “The Charming Softball team and their pirate.”
–Watching the show with my compatriots. I couldn’t get through this without you.

I have given up trying to reconcile pesky things like timelines, continuity and character growth. Sometimes it’s just easier to ignore the first two seasons happened at all…or consider it a different series. I literally said last night “Can I just press mute and watch Bobby’s pretty face?” As a series long Dearie, this sense of ennui toward Rumple is sad and something I never thought I’d feel. Congratuations, showrunners. That took a lot of talent to accomplish.

Way to be an experienced undercover operative, Emma. NOT.
Emma has become useless, stupid, and blind. She went from a kick-butt, mostly shrewd and sarcastic savior to not doing much, running around like a headless chicken, and acting totally unprofessionally as a would-be sheriff. Seriously, what kind a sheriff lets known villains into town? What kind of sheriff lets her deputy search a car without a search warrant or uniform? What kind of sheriff lets the mayor and former evil queen kidnap a puppet-boy?

Well, that’s pretty much EVERY character on this show, with the possible exceptions of Archie, Henry, Belle, Neal and Will (based on him helping Alice in WL).

+Lana’s acting. She is simply amazing.-Emma being all pro about going under cover and yet following Regina in a car 😀 Not loud or visible at all …
– Belle once again being the one to fool ( I mean honestly, it’s like some kind of rule in this show nowadays – everytime she appears, someone will soon come and take advantage of her good heart )
– The whole drinking business and burning car as a means of having fun. Just whhhat.
-Belle and Will being all coupley, with still no explanation as to HOW the whole relationship business has startedBTW, am I imagining or has Victoria Smurfit (gotten) _really_ skinny :/ She looks unhealthy. It could be the Cruella’s role, but then again OUAT is not one of those shows where women simply have to be super skinny.
So I think this episode was more a filler. I was at first confused by the time line, but after re-watching it I think this is before she takes the heart out of the servant girl, and Snow is a teenager here which is why you don’t see her face on the horse.
Favorite: I like the evil gang..their fun.
Dislike: I’m sorry but Emma was way to over the top. It was weird. Adam said that Regina’s life will be in danger (again), but I hope this was not it…lol. (Train really?)
Thoughts on the train is that it can go thru Storybrook, but it cannot see Storybrook.

Emma was super frustrating in this ep. “I am the one with undercover experience, so if you’re going to succeed, I insist on helping you… …by tagging along with my parents and dragging my boyfriend along for good measure, because it’s so much easier to have covert meetings when there’s a large group of people involved… …and by following you in a clunky old truck when we’re the only two cars on the road in the middle of the night, because no one’s gonna notice that I’m following you… …and by storming right into the middle of your undercover operation to have a chit chat because if any of your associates are watching to make sure you do the thing, it totally won’t mess it up and get you in trouble if they see me wander in… …and then I’ll just chill at the scene of the crime afterwards with my GPS tracker with your name on it out in the open.” Way to be an experienced undercover operative, Emma. NOT.

Keeper of Regina's bravery
I liked how the show is attempting to go back to its season 1 model: present time / fairy tale land flashbacks. We get little bits of the story at a time, but hopefully by the end, it all makes sense.
For some reason – although there are many inconsistencies, the one that bothered me the most was the sleeping curse. I thought the whole limitation was that the person had to willingly prick their finger or willingly eat the apple or whatever! That’s why Regina had to find leverage to make Snow willingly eat the apple. Maleficent had to earn Aurora’s trust to willingly try the spindle (you know – in the disney cartoon), etc. It was driving me nuts that she forced the needle on Aurora and then Regina did the same thing to the horse at the end. If it’s that easy – it negates the other story lines completely.

Completely agree. Add to it the fact that Charming had to be willing to prick his finger back in S2 to enter the Red Room
I also don’t get how Regina was able to wave her wand and put a sleeping curse on Pinocchio and Marco in the shop. Emma comes running in and says, “I saw you cast a sleeping curse!” But :
1) if it were that easy why didn’t Regina just wave her hand at Snow all those years ago
2) Emma, how does one SEE someone cast a sleeping curse???
